Freddy Weller "You Win Again"

Freddy does a good job tackling this country classic, found as a cut on his 1978 "Love Got In The Way" album. NO, I don't have the 8-Track version! I hated 8-Tracks! My family had a player when I was a kid, and it was always fun to watch dad have to pull out the endless yards of ribbon when the sucker would jam up.

Freddy Weller is and continues to be one of the best singers around! 60's and 70's had some of the best singing and music to be had! Steel guitar sound was beautifully done and Freddy was amazing with singing! I have many of his albums including the lead one "Games People Play "!He was my fave during that era and I wore my first stereo out with the likes of Freddy, Johnny Cash, Charlie Pride and others. Then I graduated to tv with Hawaii 5 o ( Jack Lord and James macarthur) as well as the new series with Alex o'loughlin and Scott caan. Country music will always be my favorite and 5 o as well!Blessings from Gloria (tx fan)

I've played quite a few shows with Freddy. I got to go to Montana with him for 4 dates and got to pick his brain about the Paul Revere days. It was great stuff I can never repeat. We also talked about the early days in the studios in Atlanta. All the records he played on. Inside stuff like that. He is a wonderful singer and songwriter and a heck of a Telecaster player and just a nice guy all around.

Despite his rock background with Paul Revere & The Raiders, Freddy Weller, sure knows how to sing real country music as he tackles Hank Williams' You Win Again, and Freddy, does a great job with his redention of this great Hank Williams, Sr. classic it's now time to induct Freddy into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Howdy hey man i seen more 8 track players go flying out the windows of cars and trucks when I was a teenager and I wore out more 8 track tapes than i could count they were junk some would even double track, after they changed track then came cassetts and they wern't much better now we got cd's which are alot better stay cool man thanks for posting

8 track tape makes good masking tape to wrap presents. But this is a good version of the Hank Williams classic done with the pace slowed down and strings and things playing nicely in the background
