When I was a 10 year old girl in a small town in Ireland in 1956, at the end of a piano lesson my teacher, Claire O Byrne played this piece for me. I was stunned and thought I had never heard anything so beautiful. That one event in childhood gave me a life long love of Chopin's piano music , and indeed all classical piano music, What a gift to have received. What beautifully playing by Cynthia Berberian Hale. Thank you.

Love this piece of music 🎶. All of us kids were raised with classical music ( 9 of us) . Every Sunday afternoon we had 2 hours of music appreciation, taught by our dad. He wanted all of us kids to learn and enjoy classical music as well as jazz (1930s 1940s) . Both of our parents were on the same page when it came to our education. My dad was a military pilot and served 33 years and my mom was an RN . We lived all over world. It was a wonderful childhood.

Holy cow. this is one of the most fascinating interpretations of this I have ever heard. If I didn't know any better, I would guess that piano was tuned to a little bit below 440. It almost has an 1800's-ish sound to it. Keep it up! I love how you play at a tempo where all of the notes can be heard, and it doesn't take away from the piece itself. It feels like most people trying to play this, it's like a race to the top. You just proved that it doesn't have to be like that to sound good. After all, unfortunately, we'll never hear how Chopin wanted it played, because tech wasn't good enough back then to record him.

Beautiful...even more so that you gave it up professionally to serve the Lord...my mom did the very same. Gave up her ambitions to play piano professionally in concerts to marry my dad in 1953 to become a preacher's wife. She always played for the Lord wherever she was...at a conference, or home church. She never said no. Now she plays in heaven for the Lord himself in concert with the heavenly hosts praising God.
