Frederick Law Olmsted Lecture: Günther Vogt, “The Imprint of the Landscape”

Did anybody understand, what Vogt wanted to say with this? There was so much going on during the presentation, but what are his suggestions for landscape architecture today?

That s a very broad question julia. There is much to be answered! :) landscape is culture, is nothing to do with ‘design’. Everyone is a designer, farmers are designers, people that live off and on the land are designers. People do design landscape everyday with their choices. We have been deterritorializing ourselves from the productive surfaces where things come from. What is landscape today ? Extraction....
