Absolutely fantastic. Best YES not written by YES since 1977!

I would say that with its rockier more urgent sound, and the very prominent Bass its like a twin Brother of Tempus Fugit. So for me, the best YES not written by YES since 1980. Peace. :)
@rk41gator2 жыл бұрын
@@IWallace Yes often had very prominent bass. But why wouldn't they with Chris Squire! And this does have a very nice 'urgency'.

Warm greetings from Tripoli, yes in Libya. What a discovery, listening to your music while driving through the desert ... At night, I also watch some of your recordings’ videos. Each of you ... the magic is not just how you évoque the music of my news, but the harmonies you create as a group. Merci, shukran, tak !

That organ solo is fucking sick, even though in the video it's actually a polysynth I'm pretty sure it's a hammond through a nice cabinet and wah. Reminds me of Dave Stewarts organ solos during Egg's long pieces.
@fredfroi10 ай бұрын
Yes, you’re absolutely right! It’s a Hammond with fuzz box and wah pedal. Was too lazy to bring the organ to the video shoot.

Only just discovered you guys thanks to seeing this video via Prog magazine's Facebook page. I've been playing your back catalogue pretty much over and over the last few days and I hear a lot of very common influences from Yes, Genesis, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, ELP, Mike Oldfield, through to others like Gryphon and even German bands Eloy and Triumvirat. Love your sound palette! I played drums, mandolin, and sang as part of an originals band for a few years and we tried to use these familiar sounds in the context of shorter, more standard pop/rock tunes, using Hammond, Mellotron, ARP Pro Soloist with Rickenbacker 4001 bass as a key part of our sound. We weren't as good musicians as you guys, but it was the most enjoyable musical involvement I ever had, and I know our keyboard player, Nick, who sadly passed away last year, would have loved your appreciation for authentic vintage keyboards. We cheated with the Mellotron, using samples, but always doffed our collective hats to those who kept it real! This is a great track and I'm really looking forward to the album! I wish you guys all the very best with it and keep doing what you're doing! 👏👏👍😊

The melodies played on the organ solo in 5:21 and in 5:53 are almost identical to one of the musical themes used in Rytter av dommedag off of Lars Fredrik Froislie's excellent solo album Fire Fortellinger. I wonder if the musical idea was first used in Five Rooms and then he picked up on it and decided to make a theme out of it or if these melodies in the solo are callbacks to the Rytter av dommedag theme. Of course, Fire Fortellinger came out three years after Dwellers of the Deep, but some ideas for the songs, if not the entire songs, might have been created earlier.

This is by far your best material since Hinterland! Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love all of Wobbler's releases! And every Wobbler release is represented in my playlist on my internet radio station, eargasmusa.com! But this just blew me away! Although I hear Wobbler throughout, I also hear elements of Gentle Giant, Yes, a bit of the Flower Kings, among many others. This song is going into my playlist immediately. Regarding my internet station, although I have two different streams, Live365 is my primary station stream due to the limited storage space on Listen2MyRadio. I'm only a hobbyist and Live365 gives me more bang for my buck. So if you're interested in checking it out you will need a VPN due to their geo-blocking because of Copyright laws. But my stream out of Leicester, England is available to anyone from anywhere. I just haven't updated that playlist in a while because of focusing on Live365. Keep up the great work and I look forward to any future Wobbler releases.

Awesome song guys, looking forward to the album. Also, Lars, what effects did you run the moog through to sound like that?
@armansumpe94014 жыл бұрын
It probably is another instrument (at most times). Moog is just used in the video or else there would be no room for anything but synths in that room. A Hammond is used a lot, so that might be what you are hearing, but it depends on where in the song you are referring.
@fredfroi4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It’s all film tricks and I felt lacy on the day of the music video recording, so all I brought was the mellotron and minimoog (which looks so good!). So basically what you hear is the music from the album and not a live track. On this song you’ll hear a Hammond C3 w/ Leslie 147, Mellotron m400, Minimoog Model D, Arp Pro Soloist, Hohner Clavinet D6 and Yamaha CP70b.

Wobbler just became one of my favourite bands. I'd rather see them than the current incarnation of Yes. I'd like to see a 335, however, rather than the boring LP.
@mab3 жыл бұрын
Great vid! What effect are you using for the moog solo at the end ?
@fredfroi3 жыл бұрын
It’s actually a Hammond C3 thru a distortion pedal and a wah wah pedal into the Leslie 147. We were lazy on the day of the video shoot, so we only brought the MiniMoog and Mellotron, so it’s a bit misleading.
