Also, yes you'll find most of the top artists know their rap history and have listened and studied the US goats just as much, sometimes more than their counterparts. I think a natural next step from this would be to do one of the Fredo x Dave tracks, like Money Talks or Funky Friday. There are so many UK lyricists, but you're going to miss of lot of it because of the huge differences in slang, plus the accents are hard with some of UK legends like Ghetts and Kano. As your ear for it develops, though... sheesh there is just so much from the last 20 plus years of UK rap. Don't miss Wretch 32 either.
