Yes I worked at place where they thought an annual raise of a 5 cents a year. I was a welder there . They said because they were so impressed with me they were going to give me 10 cents. I said really? I got some thing for you here is my resignation. And I walked out . The man was yelling at me the whole time . I walked right across the street made a dollar more an hour at the start. He was pissed. I 2as mad because I didn't even know that job was even there, till I looked. I could have been working there the whole time. Oh well.

Mr. Fredo..............When I was 16 years old, minimum wage was $0.75 and hour. I was working at a grocery store sacking groceries and usually made more in tips carrying out people's groceries to their cars than working all day at the hourly pay. Of course, Coca Colas were a nickle and gas was about $0.16 cents a gallon and it was leaded.
