😂 your perseverance and excitement in the final flights hit home hard😂 I know that feeling well when something you created halfway does what you in vision it to do. The hobby is hard enough with foamies then you add 3D printing in the equation which is not that forgiving of a material but with patience when it works, pure bliss 👍🏽 thanks for the content.

Superb! Glad you stuck with it and got her flying. I always throw mine overhead using auto-launch, has worked great for me even on a Sunnysky 2216 1400kv with 8x5 prop. Loving your reaction to getting it in the air by the way!!!

Thank you! I knew the plane could fly, so I knew it was something I was doing.

Cool plane and great vid. FYI, hot glue comes right off with denatured alcohol. Just a few drops around the glue joints and let it wick in and it separates like it was never there.

Good video, I printed the rifter also, I flew it once, no FC and bungee launched it, it flew good but was fast. It feels heavy to me, I used PLA+ also, been thinking about reprinting in LWPLA. Thanks for sharing w us.

I believe the yaw instability on takeoff is due to the tail fin design. They have a high dihedral angle which decreases their effectiveness. I believe if you added some wingtips as a 'fix' you might have more success. I've been making my own similarish plane design and after crashing some prototypes and making test gliders I also had this problem. Increasing the tail fin area and making them more upright fixed the issue like magic on the test glider. I had to throw it just right to get it to glide but with extra tail fin it tracks straight as an arrow. Wingtips would be easy for you to try out so you don't have to modify the plane much

just commented on the Scimitar (?) video that i'm printing this model, only to have this vid to pop up in my feed. fckn awesome to ride along with the actual maiden that worked.

Porpoising happens on landing, I think what you were experiencing was the unstable design of that model. It would probably just average out at the desired altitude

Nice plane! I like using autolaunch with 1400us idle throttle on my nicer builds. Never failed me.

Jeff I was just curious what did you use for print settings on the wing extensions and the nose piece. Thanks

I just followed Oliver's print settings and used his profiles. I was a while ago, so I don't remember

Hi Geff, I've been struggling to get a decent finish on Oliver's 3D Prints especially the elevons due to the print height and being very narrow with a very poor finish at the tip. I know you uses the same printer as I do, so whats the secret please

For me I check bed level all the time and I keep my filament in a sealed bag when not being used. If I start having problems, i usually get a new roll of filament

You can use a custom made aileron support thats its own stl file to keep it from moving. I think there is one on thingiverse.

Do I need to buy a prop spinner for the motor and propeller? Could someone recommend. One? Thabks
