I’m printing the one piece file from them for my son. Right now almost half way done printing. I realize it’s going to be difficult for him to get on and off hoping I can somehow remove the rear panel without ruining the helmet.

That is sweet! I can't print anything big on my Bambu P1S. No bed adhesion problems, it just starts printing garbage hours into the print. Bummer.

Have you tried using glue sticks. Make sure you get no finger prints on the bed plate the oils causes failed prints all the time.

For this helmet I used Sunlu PLA + Filament. And the printer I used is called the Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus. The 4 Plus is now available it’s better and faster. It’s also a great beginner printer. It’s what I learned how to print on. It’s also budget friendly. I hope this helps

I used a lot of Rustoleum for my War Machine because it was cheaper. And I can say I don’t like how much you have to use to get the same amount of coverage as the Duplicolor. Rustoleum also comes out thicker so you won’t get as even of spread. If it comes to price get the Rust. But the better product is Dulpi.

I actually couldn’t get my helmet to print with regular supports. Once I did tree supports it’s printed very well lol

Tree supports come off so clean and don’t leave all that junk on the bottom. Once you get your setting dialed in you’re golden!

You can get the printer I use for under $300 now you don’t want to go too cheap because obvious reasons. This is the Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus. Hope this helps

Painting for sure I try and give 24 hours. Painting to clear coating. Priming to painting just about 3-6 or so hours depending how thick of a prime job I do!

The supports you saw in this video was Elegoo Cura tree supports. But they are terrible and I wouldn’t recommend it. UltiMaker Cura Tree supports are so much better and I recommend using those! ultimaker.com/software/ultimaker-cura/ This should set you right! 👊🏾

I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine, but you have to remember even if we use the exact same everything, environment plays a major factor in 3d Printing. So don’t expect the same results.

What 3D printer are you using? I used my ender 3 pro and a good tip i found is to put some gluestick on the plate where the print will be and that should help

This is a Do3D file which usually cost money. From my experience the better files usually cost money. They’re are cut up to fit smaller printer and they spend time on the details as well as implement magnet holes. Just overall better files. IMO!
