This was superb! I appreciate that you did this very much. I had run into a couple of questions and you answered them.

How to specify max two lines per caption, and max 80 symbols per line?
@paulomalley2 ай бұрын
There isn't an option to limit the number of lines (as this will really depend on the viewers screen size), but there is an option in the advanced settings to limit the number of characters per segment with options from 1 all the way to 200. It can be found in the Experimental settings area of the Advanced settings.

is it possible to make shorter lines that would fit in a smartphones screen better for social media? or maybe that's done in the editing app?

There are options inside the whisper app where you can dictate what is the maximum number of characters that are allowed in a segment for the subtitles. You could look to use this and lower the number, which would then make the subtitle segments shorter. I haven't personally used that myself because I generally will do the breakup of my subtitles on KZbin, which is where I'm using it for the most part.

@@paulomalley Do you know where I could find this option? That is exactly what I need, because the lines are to short for me. But I could not find the option to increase the numbers of characters per segment

It's among the "Experimental" options in the apps settings. I'm not on my Mac at the moment so I can't note what the exact setting is called, but it is there.

Not everyone has 'your Mac'

Agreed, but the application here is only available on Mac, which is why I included that in the title of the video. I am working on finding a more seamless way to achieve similar on Windows devices, but currently it requires the use of Terminal and Python. This is a bit outside of the ease that I like to offer in my tutorials. But I assure you, if I find an easy to use solution for Windows users, I will definitely be sharing it.
