Thanks for presenting this option with the creator of this photoshop alternative. Some say they would never downgrade to a lesser editor. I did, even though I was a previously heavy Photoshop user. Why did I do this? The simple answer is FREEDOM. Freedom is much more important to me.

Great question about the Lightroom batch editing. That’s what gives Lightroom the edge for me over Photoshop as a wedding photographer - I want to skim through a folder of 500+ images and edit approx’ 20% of them as quickly and efficiently as possible. 👍🏻

Comment #2: my son-in-law works for one of these gaming companies and they do also classify their products during the productions even within the family members. This young man truly loves to code and brilliant at it. This is amazing his product is compatible with all the devices with different browsers.

I have but to be frank.. It really does not work very well.. EXTREMELY SLOW.. Windows 95 slow or worse!

@@jcristina If I was you, who has made a point of testing these integrity-preserving alternatives, I would now ask the new owner of Affinity Photo, Canva, why the closest alternative to Photoshop (even using much the same short-cuts, a great help compared to Gimp), is performing that bad on Linux (Lime?). I am sure it will have their interest. I am also sure that many of your followers would like to know Canva's answer and what they suggest can be done about it.

Love your - Adobe alternative - options! On that note, why don't the authors of Gimp, isimply copy - outright - all of the functionality of Adobe Photoshop, or, if they are still copyright protected, just make minor changes, effectively keeping the overall program possibilities?

What's the idea with a cloud based alternative for Photoshop. The primary control from Adobe is executed via the Cloud. It's not their pricing I primarily want to avoid, but I dislike the subscription model and Adobe having their tentacles deep into my privacy. We are not free from spying and control unless we can manage our daily routines without being connected to a cloud somewhere on the web.

@@jcristina The ads aren't the problem. you can't use the program unless you disable ad blockers completely. Even when you say you disabled ad blockers the program says you still have ad blockers up
