Really interesting use of AI! Looking forward to seeing how you will utilize this method of generating 3D designs for your future projects 👍

There's a way to turn the details of the texture into tangible details on the surface of the 3D model that can then be 3D printed. It is not a free solution, but you may find a way to do it for free. It involves Zbrush. Here are the steps using Zbrush commands. Let's say you start with an FBX or OBJ import with the texture. You simply subdivide the model up into millions of polygons and then mask by color / mask by saturation and then deform by inflate. From there you'd decimate it down and then export it as a STL for 3D printing. There are numerous other ways to do it in Zbrush, this is just one of the ways. I'm not very familiar with the various free sculpting software available but I'll bet you could do the same in most of them.

Should we stick to the old ways of doing things just because that's how we used to do it for a very long time? Of course if you do it purely as a hobby you can enjoy any kind of making and even stick for example to hand tools only, just for fun. But if that's more than a hobby for you, you should look into ways of making your work more efficient.

@@nikodembartnik AI needs to be just a starting point. It can't have 'lightbulb' moments like we do. It is those 'lightbulb' moments that bring real change. Maybe in a few years. It's exciting to see it develop.

Yeah, I won't watch anyone that profit from the stolen work of artist. Using ai to make money, even indirectly with sponsor and add isn't great.
