Ok, I've had enough chrono testing to get some data. Just by doing these changes I've gained anywhere from 15 to 25 FPS when running Buzz Bee's Precise Pro darts. I'm now hitting 110-120 FPS, and will publish a chrono session video proving that if I get enough feedback wanting to see it.

Yes please. Been sitting on a thrifted snipe for awhile trying to figure out what to do (I like accufakes and precise pros too, so unless I'm going full stefans don't generally brass).

Im interested in seeing the results compared to the interceptor, both at at least 7kg springs

Idk if you ever had a Range master or not. That was the one before the snipe. Buzz Bee also made a pistol labeled as the Snipe, which I put the Range master firing setup in. I broke my Snipe, because the plunger rod couldn't handle it.

First! Dang, The Snipe Has A Big Ass Plunger Tube LoL.
@MongooseJakeNerf6 жыл бұрын
All of the Buzz Bee blasters have big plunger tubes. That massive amount of air volume is where they get their power even when not running high powered springs. Also why just removing the AR and getting a slightly stronger spring gives them massive performance gains.

At least you get some of their products relabeled as the Adventure Force brand through Walmart. The Eradicator is a nice variant of the Tactical Storm.

Thanks for this vid man ! I’m planning on taking my Snipe apart soon, and this video will surely help. Just one question, how’d you remove the metal rod from the bolt ? I’ll be replacing the OG bolt with a metal door handle.
@MongooseJakeNerf6 жыл бұрын
It simply can be pushed out. I used a small phillips screwdriver and firmly push it out from one side and it'll come out the other.

MongooseJake Thanks dude ! I’m serious when I say that this is hands down the best video on modding the Snipe just because of how in depth it is. Once again, THANK YOU!!!
@CFSF696 жыл бұрын
Also, how do you reinforce the bolt loop with metal ? Do you replace the entire piece or do you attach metal to it ? Will epoxy and plastic do the job as well ?
@MongooseJakeNerf6 жыл бұрын
I was referring to actually replacing the loop and the bolt itself. I've seen the whole plunger tube, bolt, and breech all replaced with a custom alloy unit, but I think just replacing the loop would do.

@MongooseJake Do you know where I can find a Buzz Bee Snipe these days? I want one really bad and have not been having luck finding them online anywhere except used on Ebay. Great videos, I appreciate any help!

Your best bet is to quickly check Kmart, they're closing some stores but will still send to some areas for in-store pickup. Priced at $21 right now: www.kmart.com/buzz-bee-toys-air-warriors-snipe/p-004W009610652001P

@@MongooseJakeNerf Sorry, I've been meaning to reply for days. Thanks so much for the link! I had found that page while searching around on Google. As well as the new Red Snipe at FleetFarm. Unfortunately neither are shipping to Cleveland currently nor do we have any stores in this area that carry them for an in store pick up. I just keep hoping that another version or a new shipment of the new Red Snipe will pop up some where I can order online for shipping or in a nearby store like Target/Walmart. Love the videos! Super informative and we're loving the Buzz Bee lineup! We got the Arsenal pack and the Alpha Rogue so far. Both amazing. Eyeing the Snipe, Mutator and Thermal Tracker. We like the bolt action magazine feds, especially those new flip clips! :D

I know this is probably considered a necro post, but I believe I have a very similar version to that snipe (it's not blue, but light grey and orange) and the orange barrel on the front + the fake bolt end on the back is stopping me from taking the halves apart.. what do you suggest I do? I'm not taking it apart to mod, it's just been sitting for a few months and I want to give it a thorough cleaning.
@MongooseJakeNerf4 жыл бұрын
I actually did a video on how to remove solvent weld (that's what is holding on the front barrel attachment point along with the bolt cover on the Snipe) in a video. All Snipes are the same regardless of color, so you should be good to go if you do this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/movIXqeBq9NmoZI

@@MongooseJakeNerf tysm for the help! I do have one question though. One thing I recall from trying to take mine apart before is that there's also a back cap in line with the chamber that is also welding it shut.. What do I do for that bit? Or am I remembering incorrectly?
@MongooseJakeNerf4 жыл бұрын
@@LilyArlatto I just work a small flat head screwdriver in under it until the solvent weld gives way and pop it off. Works basically every-time without even stressing the plastic.

@@MongooseJakeNerf Thanks again for the help! I know it's probably dumb that I'm doing this just to clean and not to mod.. but I think I might try something in the future so knowing this will help me out a lot. I do have one more thing though-- Will the pieces hold on their own when put back together, or will I have to glue them back?

You remove it so you can de-prime the blaster when needed. You don't want to dry fire a empty blaster once you've modded it, to avoid causing damage.
