Do you have to name the S3 bucket same name as the domain name for the routing to work. Can’t you just route and point to the S3 bucket name? It should route to the bucket when someone searches with the domain name.

Great question! Accessing your website via HTTPS instead of HTTP is a good start. This would involve setting up a CloudFront distribution and getting an SSL/TLS certificate (using AWS Certificate Manager), which can be slightly advanced stuff for your first project! But for context, CloudFront is another AWS service that helps you deliver website content faster to users worldwide. To keep this content safe as it travels over the internet, the SSL/TLS certificate encrypts the web information, so that only the intended recipients can read it. 😊

My question is if I have a domain being hosted on AWS how can I keep cost down if Im looking for a potential job and a employer wants to see it. I know I can incur cost if I have versioning turned on and I believe I must leave it on if I want to host the site on AWS. Any advice is appreciated.

Good question Aten, are you meaning the Route 53 domain or just the S3 endpoint URL? AWS' Free Tier is quite generous for S3 so you should be good to store your index.html in your bucket for at least 12 months for free (as long as your total S3 storage doesn't go over 5GB) In terms of versioning, it doesn't seem like you need to leave it on to host the site on AWS for us! Was that your experience?

I have resolved it, check the folder you extracted, it is probably still in the folder, so move the folder containing the images from the extracted folder and bring it out.

Hi Harsha! Hope you're enjoying this project, you can find the notes at link.nextwork.org/youtube (they look a little different from what we show in the video but the content is the same) You could try pressing CTRL + P on your keyboard to save the guide as a PDF, does that work for you?

Hey @c33balevarun - we've created automatic documentation on our website. So when you do a project, you fill in the boxes that ask questions, and ask for screenshots. Then at the end we generate a formatted pdf for you! You can find it at link.nextwork.org/youtube
