Good job, Jerry... Ever try doing the Gaines/King part of the Live version? the thing people don't realize is in the Pronounced version, Allen actually took 4 takes playing the solo, they then took the best two takes and a short section of another and mixed them together. And that's what you hear on the album.

Well I guess the first time i attempted to play this solo I was maybe 13 years old, I could play the first part until I failed miserably on the quick parts. Since then I've just messed around to it a couple of times and maybe tried to nail the quick licks. But I probably had the ability to play this properly like maybe 1,5 years ago but it was last winter that i decided i should listen to it and try to learn it more carefully, and that's when I got all the fast licks playing smoothly and so on.

I'm guessing you mean the part at around 0:32 Use your index, middle and ring finger to bend the 18th fret of the B-string and let it ring, then pick the high E-string with your pinky on the 18th fret and also let that ring. Hope that helps.
