We've already visited over 2/3 of the locations and all the books were gone except for one. We circulated that book to another location and hope to see it gone in a few months again. Hey, thanks! I’m laying money on it your book is gone already. We’ll know for sure at the end of September when I take my next quarterly vacation. Kelli wants to make this a regular thing. Although she said she does NOT want to return to a few of the sketchy neighborhoods. Hahaha

This is a very cool idea. I've put a few of my books in set ups like this. Most got picked up. I think I've placed my book in 5 or 6 locations in Boston like this and only one copy is still where I left it. (Last I checked) Very interested to see what the results of this is. Great video man!!

@@DaleLRobertsThat would be cool. I’ve ordered them for myself two or three times and never got them. The first time I sent them to my brother so he could forward them to me. He didn’t. He wanted to read them first, then he loaned them out. And that was the end of that. I’ll be ordering again soon. I’ve still never seen one of my books. It’s a little weird.

Great topic and awesome job! I've been thinking about doing this in my area. In my books I always put a book mark with a description of the next in the series to include a QR code that will take the reader directly to the Amazon page.

That is BRILLIANT! Yes! I need to do that when I go for another trip like this. Maybe have a QR code that leads to a video explainer of how that book got in a Little Free Library. A story behind the story. haha Again, that's genius.

I looked them up in my part of the world (UK) and the nearest two were about a 20-minute drive away, north and east. I might pop one in if I have occassion to go that way! Having said that, I seem to remember there is one near me, so must be a different organisation. I must check it out.

Nice! I've already got the follow-up video slated to shoot in late-September on my next vacation. My wife and I are going to revisit all the locations to see what books are gone and replenish the boxes with new ones. If we find a book hasn't moved from one location, we'll move it to another in hopes it'll get into somebody else's hands. I remember your book was placed in German Village near the Book Loft. I think that was one of the houses that was for sale, so hopefully when it's sold the box doesn't get removed. So glad you finally caught this!

That's the plan! I’ve already got it on my schedule at the end of September to check on the books and then add more to the libraries. Once I run out, I’ll see if more authors want me to put out their books.

I think that's a VERY accurate prediction. We already know one was gone. My wife wants to go back now and check, but MAN! That's sixty miles of walking AGAIN in one week. haha I'll be following up in late-September during my next vacation.

Thanks so much! I thought I was crazy for doing this. I found two places near my son's house when we were back in January. I have a list of stops for next month in St. Augustine. So crazy I'm bringing books back to the US, but small apartment and I only need 1 copy for each book.

Hey, I kinda cheated. haha It was my vacation, but my wife and I agreed it would be fun just to get out, even if it's slightly business related. As for the writing conferences, I totally agree. Hang in there; I'll be getting back to them again soon and hopefully sharing the experience. And, thanks so much for the kind words and support. As for hitting 100k, I'm open to ideas. I'll bet I could get some brands to contribute to a massive giveaway or something special for the subscribers. You got any ideas? Nothing's off the table, so I'm all ears.

Go for it! I automatically bake a call to action in my back matter with every book, but I can't see how it'd hurt to put a note in each book. Maybe even a brief explanation. I know I'd be pretty excited if I found a book with a note from the author. It's like a collector's item for me then.

Oh nice! If you get the app, it’ll show you every LFL in the area. I was shocked when I saw how many were scattered throughout Columbus. My wife and I could’ve walked for days and still not covered all of the locations. She was wanting to do even more. Hahaha I’m running out of books! 😂

How do people who get your books from a little library or you give friends a free book that you have published on Amazon to leave a review? I can see that if you purchased a book on Amazon that you can write a review, but what if you did not purchase it on Amazon?

As long as an Amazon customer buys at least $50 in products per year, they can leave a review on products regardless of purchasing them on Amazon.
