Your handwriting is so pretty!! As a beginner it’s kind of relieving to see you go slow in real time, it makes me feel a lot better about my pace haha

Definitely -- slower is better!!

You guys are too nice -- thank you. I can make a demo video over how I do it (with an X-Acto knife) ... basically, I just make sure my hand isn't sticking to the table, then I pull down. It's not 100% perfect, but pretty close!

Have you ever heard of a light emitting guide that projects lines onto a dark envelope.? (Normally i use my light table and insertable tracing paper pre-drawn grids for my envelopes. But when its a dark envelope or one with a thick liner that you cannot see through, this type of projected image would be so helpful. (like an opaque projector) I know I have heard of such a thing, but don;t know anyone who has one

I have! I'm not a huge fan of guideline projector-type things because they don't allow you to move your envelope around as you're writing -- you've got to keep them in one spot so the guideline stays the same! It's the same general idea as the phantom liner, which I wrote a review over (thepostmansknock.com/the-phantom-liner-an-unbiased-review/). Basically, I think calligraphers have been trying to solve this problem for a long time, and what it boils down to is that there are shortcuts, but every shortcut -- including, of course, the template in this video -- has disadvantages. The only surefire way to get fantastic results is to draw pencil guidelines -- *and* a pencil draft, if you have the extra time!
