Hey Hamed, this depends as there are two options. The free option is all public, the paid option is entirely the opposite. We cannot and would not access private data unless the user chooses to share it with support, then we can share the project and collaborate :)

I would use this, even it's for free. business secret could be revealed, maybe also patent. the terminal could monitor all users cfd case, so probably your design, or know how will be recorded online. if the purpose is only for practice and educational, then it's safe to use it.

How much does it cost to get an accurate Cd from a model I upload to you ? How many simulations are " free " ? Can I run a model and get the stock Cd to verify that your CFD is accurate, and then make a modification to the model, such as a grill block and Kammback and then run a test to compare Cds ? What would that cost ?
@tomasjedlicka7102 Жыл бұрын
They give you 10 free sims with the community account. Thats enough for some tutorials that are there eg. compressible fluid flow around aerofoil. You can apply for some power user program, but that requires some more activity and you would have to create a new tutorial for them whic they can use to get more people in.

Simulation mainly done to reduce physical testing cost so result should be highly accurate(like high end pack NX NASTRAN,STAR CCM+,ANSYS). what about this new software result accuracy ? Solver ? parameter on which engineer really compare CAE tool, not just fancy animation i guess
@matthewbemis42695 жыл бұрын
Hi Devarshi, that's a good point. SimScale uses the openfoam solver, which is widely validated and accepted in the CFD industry. For solid mechanics simulations, Code_Aster, an open source solver, is used. Beyond this, we have a validation page (www.simscale.com/validation/) with dozens of validation projects and benchmarks. I suggest you check it out!

Legit questions mate, obviously this was a promotional piece rather than a technical deep dive/investigation or a 'review'. But before committing to this I spoke with multiple sources in the simulation industry who are experts across a wide range of sim solutions and they all spoke very highly of Simscale. That might not mean much to you but personally I have extremely high standards (hence why there's very few promotions on the channel) and those approvals from people I trust where good enough for me to get behind and support this. But I respect the question and will see if I can get some further info on that, and I'll note it in a pinned top comment if I can get that info.
@parthsavyasachi93485 жыл бұрын
@@Neil3D I write cfd software called wildkatze. I have been thinking about porting the solver to Web browser and I came to conclusions that I don't want to do that for 2 reasons: 1. for accuracy one is often found using multi processor and fine meshes, the bottleneck there is how to get those processors. (usually ends up on cluster). 2. gui in Web browser is still a gui. what it means is that user still has to click various places and set it up. I want fastest set up that requires least amount of clicking on gui. currently I can set up and run the simulation by one console command and that for me as a user is easiest way to do. good luck though, my only question is the solver in background is it in house developed or it is openfoam wrapped.

Yes, there is a community plan available with correspondingly less features as compared to academic and professional license. No it cannot be used offline however you can start the simulation and even close the computer. The simulation will run in cloud and you will be notified when finished.
