I purchased a Dell precision 7750 recently and unfortunately had to go for refund...due to the thermals sky rocketed...very dissappointed. Similar issue has been raised by other users in dell community...7750 and 7760 both having the same issues... Dell has failed to design a proper cooling system..6 to 8 cores of course will be hotter..

So I bought the WD19s from the CEX on Northumberland St (Newcastle) last week for me Legion Go and my Samsung laptop. Works great for both of them. Would I have paid £400? Hell no!!.. but for £36 it was a steal. There's been a recent firmware update for it on Dell's website. Has it made any difference? Not sure, as I'm running 2 x 1080p monitors on display port and they were working fine beforehand. I have noticed the bandwidth issue when it comes to downloads via ethernet. I've got Virgin 1Gb, with the 2 x screens in use, the downloads throttle down to about 300 - 400meg, when I'm just running the laptop screen I get close to full speed.

So is there any real functional difference between Workspace Search Paths and Libraries? Both are just folders that get searched when trying to resolve components, correct?

Today I installed inventor, to make an impeller for my dust fan. The old one doesn't work to well and I wanted to upgrade it. Never worked with this program and your video and the little help sector helped me to understand this program. I succeeded my fan in 8 hours and at the moment my printer is printing the fan. Thanks, you explain it enough for me. I just have a little experience with AutoCAD. And this was my first thing on this program.

Hi! I'm "still here". Started watching your tutorials many, many years ago since I wanted to have some custom aluminum brackets for something or whatever manufactured for a project at work. Got completely sucked in and realized that I was in the wrong business (programming) - THIS Is what I wanted to do, engineering! Thank you so much for all your videos that now have landed me a job in industrial engineering!

Thank you for the good lessons. I want to make a stock for a gun,it consists entirely of smooth and asymmetrical transitions. Is it possible to do this in Autodesk inventor. Do you have a similar lesson? I haven't found it anywhere from anyone

Figured out how to get rid of the boot delay and get max performance at 5600MT/s or whatever your RAM is rated for at least without tightening up timings. Haven't found a quick way to reset the bios on my B13VGKG-665US so fooling around there would be super tedious. Right now, I have to pop the bottom off and disconnect the main battery and the CMOS battery to reset. So, do what he says in the video. After a reboot and all is running at 5600MT/s or whatever your RAM is supposed to run at. Then go to your timings settings and set the TCK to 56 set all other timings to 0 (Auto) not the voltages, leave them be. Save and reset. It will do an initial training and afterwards boot normally. Got a 15-20 FPS boost from 4800 to 5600. Works on the stock 16GB 5600 kit that was running at 4800 OOB as well as the Crucial 32GB kit I bought as an upgrade. If anyone knows a way to quickly reset the bios on these books, I'd love to know about it or just have the bios boot into safe mode on OC fail. The button on the bottom of mine swaps the dual bios config and all is the same. Thanks, hope this helps!

Great approach, but I find that it's sometimes prone to errors. If the projected geometry is changed significantly, the sketch lines will sometimes lose their respective references, and EVERY single feature after that in the model history will fail. Fillets, chamfers, holes, shells etc absolutely last does help though.

A 1 year license is an improvement but when you know that you will never be able to afford the full price of a licence there's still little point in diving in. Solid edge has a community edition which anyone can download, has very few restrictions and does everything which 99% of cad enthusiasts could ever require.

The system requirements info on the Cadac site when you go to download the add on says its only suitable for 2021 & 2022 Inventor. Is this a old bit of information? I have tried to run it on my 2025 version and it gets to the stage of acknowledging my system hardware and when I tell it to run the benchmark it warns me it will take several moments, which I agree to but then nothing happens.

I've been doing Inventor on GeForce for 10 years now and from time to time have worked on machines that had a Quadro and certainly noticed no differences in reliability or performance. Yeah when you're spending someone else's money to outfit machines for a business and a few hundred bucks isn't a deal breaker when potentially 1000's are on the line, yeah do the safe stable thing. That level of industrial cross-check and verification is what you're paying for, and they squeeze for it. But even a small business, if you're doing Fusion or Inventor and can afford to take a day off from CAD once a year or so if heaven forbid you run into the odd driver compatibility issue that may or may not happen (I've never in 10 years had it be an issue I noticed) then yeah just get a cheap gaming GPU and call it a day.

This is an old video. Although in the new ones you said you wanted to take a break. I know it's all hard and the reward is small. Your videos are like a big encyclopedia. Even in old materials you can always find something interesting. Friend, greetings from the past and thank you very much for your work. The work of a teacher is not always well paid, but incredibly important.

I am an OTR trucker that likes PC Games on Steam and I will tell you why I am purchasing a workstation. Has nothing to do with work. Currently the only laptops made with mobile broadband (5G) capability are business laptops. I have phone service thru T-Mobile and am looking at an unlimited data plan from verizon for the laptop for $90 a month. I want two different carriers so if one service does not have coverage in the area I'm in I always have the other one. I'm on the road 25 days a month before coming back to my home state. Dell Precision and Latitude have a few models you can custom build with mobile broadband but there are currently no "Gaming Laptops" with mobile broadband as I have recently learned. I know you can get mobile internet but you always have to carry around the extra Modem/Router which isn't small. I just want a laptop with everything built in. There are VERY FEW to choose from unfortunately!!!! If anybody knows a better laptop option than the DELL Precision 3591 custom built to near gaming specs for $3500 PLEASE let me know!!! It has to be compatible with Verizon sim card and unlimited data plan.

Autodesk is going to become the next Adobe crash and burn fail. All they do is buy stuff. We have the same problems with their products as we had almost 20 years ago. They will never fix important issues, because it requires too much coding work and they are busy buying other work from other coders, instead of hiring their own and having a decent R&D department.
