Fantastic tractor Alex! I didnt even know that they ever put a Honda on a Craftsman tractor. It almost to nice to sell. That engine is so much smoother than a B&S or Kohler. You are really getting good at detailing my friend!! Thanks for another great video! ✌💲🎥🇺🇸

These were rare and only did it for one year. I’m debating keeping this one as I know I won’t find another one like it. I hope you are doing well my friend :).

Wow that is an extremely rare model Craftsman with the Honda engine and many would say the holy grail of LT1000 style tractors. Nice fix and it looks brand new! Well done! This one would be a hard one for me to sell if it were mine but I'm sure it brought very good money.

Thanks Casey. I’m torn on selling this one. I’m still having some carb issues and may just end up getting a new one, but yea this is a rare machine and I’m sure I’ll never come across another one this clean. Keep up the awesome repairs on your channel and I’ll be watching it grow.

Nice video. I find this as I was just given my first riding lawnmower. It’s a 2001 John Deere LT133. The original owner had it garage kept. My friend bought it from him and he had it for 2 years. One day the deck fell off and he parked it for 3 years. Then he gave it to me. I put a new battery, fuel filter and switched out the fuel. It fired right up! Today I changed out both belts and sharpened the blades. I also sanded the underside of the deck which is about the only place there was rust. I sanded, primed with rustoleum and painted to protect it. It didn’t have the pins to secure the deck and I’m just going to bolt it in place. This mower looks brand new which is amazing for 23 years old and free minus some maintenance.

A friend just gave me this same exact mower today. Same Honda motor with the hydrostatic transmission. I put in a new battery and same issue with the starter. I was able to hit it with a rubber mallet and got it to finally run. I have my work cut out for me but it gives me something to do.

FYI the way you connected the second solinoid should have made no difftence as it is still having to actuate and run through the original solinoid. Please re connect the wiering as per original way and I bet you it will now work. Cheers Stew.

First time I saw a Honda on a rider for me . What a good rewire bypass job . I know on a Honda push mower you don't push dip stick in too check the oil .
@freedommowers420 Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. Yea I figured that’s the way to check this one. I don’t thread them in usually on the Honda push mowers, but wasn’t sure on this one as I haven’t come across twin cylinder.

Man that engine is worth a ton itself!!, great score I’d def keep this one or if u ever get a commercial unit that needs a good motor then this Honda would be a great one, I see this engine lasting longer than the mower.

I agree. I have debated just swapping this engine on here and putting a Briggs single to sell it and keep the Honda engine a zero turn. Thank you for the support and stopping by.

I see a lot of folks that want the ability to mow with the chute up for various reasons. They use bungies , string or a piece of rope and that to me is so inconvenient. I have never shared this, but I've done this set up on every riding mower I've ever owned and it's fool proof. Use a hook and screw eye to latch the chute up . Attach one screw eye to the side of the rear fender and two to the chute. Test distance before drilling to ensure the screw eyes are in the right location. Use one on the chute with a spring to the latch the hook, and the other end of the spring to the screw eye then install that screw eye to the chute. The second screw eye is also attached to the chute far enough to just give the spring a little tension so the hook can be latched to that second screw eye firmly when chute is being used . Now the Hook can be latched onto the screw eye mounted to the fender to keep the chute up and out of the way. This method also allows the deck to be raised and lowered when the chute is raised. This setup is on my 1999 Scotts S20hp/48 and my 2018 46" Cub Cadet XT1. So simple & inexpensive, but absolutely effective. I hope this helps someone , if not there's always the option of a bungie or a piece of rope. LOL

I have one, and it has run flawlessly every summer. The Honda engine is awesome. Also, I never put that crap fuel in it. Only 100% gas.

Beautiful! I’m surprised that the twin cylinder is only 18 HP. I’d have guessed more like low 20’s. Did you check the valve lashes?

That dip stick screws on like a Kawasaki and the Kawasaki says when checking the oil level don’t screw it down 🤷🏻♂️
@Rein_Ciarfella Жыл бұрын
I didn’t think about that but given the level of service this machine has had I suspect that’s correct and the oil is not overfilled. That said, if I discovered that I’d do my research first before trying to start it just to make sure I didn’t destroy it. 🔧👍
@rjd8434 Жыл бұрын
@@Rein_Ciarfella Well every Kawasaki engine I’ve ever seen has that stamped on the dip stick but I’ve never seen a lawn tractor with a Honda engine so I can’t say for sure one way or the other. That is a nice looking and sounding lawn tractor though.👍

I have the dlt 3000 with the els725 b&s vtwin, but gear drive. I cant find a OEM part number for the fuel filter and trying to decide if I need a screen or paper filter for it. Also trying to figure out why it jerks forward when releasing the clutch in gear, or a suitable bagger option for it. Any help would be greatly appreocated!!
@freedommowers4208 ай бұрын
If it has a fuel pump then usually it takes a filter with paper. The gravity fed units normally take the regular ones. I’ll see if I can find a number for a bagger for you.

Ya'll need to keep this tractor for your personal mower. Sell all others but keep thisun.this until. You sell this and your customer will have e a better tractor than ya'll. One of those wire heater plastic menders on the nose cone and this mower will be like new.
