Love this afghan. Especially because you use chunky yarn and join as you go. Great tip about doing all the centers then all the 2nd rows it will feel as if you are almost finished the whole project as you start the last round of each motif. Thank you. You are an good teacher. I found it good to have the captions on the video as well. You speak quite fast and I missed the 1 chain spaces in the first round but when I added the captions and read them it was easier not to miss anything you said. I love that I'm able to pause the video so I can keep up with you. I made a sample square so now have to buy enough yarn to make all 42 squares. This would look so nice on a chair to snuggle under in winter. Thanks once again.

I love the join-as-you-go method so you're not left with a crazy amount of squares to sew together at the end.

Love watching your videos, you give clear instruction. I’m thinking of using cotton yarn in Xmas colours for Xmas time here in Australia. Stay safe and well and thank you from Australia 🐨🐨🦘🦘

Rohn, most everybody watching a video tutorial is really "monkey see, monkey do" kind of person. "As a monkey sees, so does the monkey"

I would like to know how to modify the very center step to make it look like a little like a flower. I was thinking of simply working chain loops on top after the fact but I'm sure there is a pattern somewhere that might do the trick. Anyone?

I played with it a bit and just modified the double crochet on the first round making it thicker, like a pique stitch...! Then on the second row I did the modified dbl crochet in the middle of the 3 dbl crochets. I have the same number of stitches, it's just more like a flower and cushier! Now on to the rest... cuz it's just dandy according to the grand daughter who wanted the center to look more, but not exactly, like a flower!

Beautiful pattern I would love to make this out again! I would not consider myself a beginner... At the very least an advanced beginner. I know all of the basic stitches and I know I can make this Afghan. I really wish this video was in a little bit more detail, showing where to put the stitches. You spend a lot of time off camera for your actual stitching and are very fast. Could you maybe redo this video actually showing you doing the Stitch work? 🤷♀️
