Is this link you have given for international students as well? Because in the quebec's website they have given two options only : immigrants or person born in canada and students are not considered as immigrants.

Totally how many full time learning weeks could you get paid from Quebec government ? For example, can I get paid for full time French learning for the rest of my life as I am a Citizen? Or is there a time limit such as to pay you no more than 100 weeks? Thanks

How long did it take you to learn some English that you know now ? There is no magical way to learn another language just by been attracted by government payments. We being exposed to English from our childhood - we still struggle with it a lot with our broken English and ugly sounding accent and no where near fluency to compare to that of a native speaker. Learning a language ( as second or third) is a lifetime efforts/investment. No government can make you learn a language - don't fall into this trap. The more adult we are, more harder to learn a foreign as we are spoiled by our mother tongue. Our lips and tongue all need to re-orient to speak a musical language like FRENCH, learning Quebec is double jeopardy - it has many variations depending on the region - very few people speak standard French, if not none !

You can attend up to 1800 hours of the course, but it only takes English speakers about 600 hours to reach fluency in french though so you'll never really need to get to that point. The idea is now that you know French you get a job in the province and integrate into society

You can never learn a language ( even if you immerse in that language) that fast. Imagine how long it took you to learn your mother language ?? 5, 10 or 15 years ? and you still make plenty of mistakes(like Ira here). ASK yourself this question and you will find the answer yourself - which is nothing but " a lifetime" and it is a life long learning experience . Surface knowledge may be gottable in few years but nothing close to being fluent !

When you take full time session , I don’t think so you will have time to work , usually classes are from 9.00 to 4.00

Full-time courses are given in class, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. You must be available 25 to 30 hours per week. The courses last between 8 and 12 weeks and start regularly during the year
