Best Go Kart diys by far. I drive a bmw e46 and I’ve been building it for the last couple years, but when I was a kid I always wanted to build a go kart. Soon I’m going to try and make a more sportier version of this kart with full suspension, wish me luck. Great videos!

Hey guys, I have to say that green go kart looks awesome. Some home builds come out looking like they where trying to build a cage for a monkey and put wheels on it. This one is spot on. I always have liked the look of square tube frames, but was not sure if they are strong enough. Im a bit older than probably most of your viewers, and a bit bigger too. But I refuse to grow up, from what I see its not much fun. Im 55 years old, and go about 6'2" and 300 lbs. So I need well built toys. Im going to try the rectangular or square tube style, Im just going to find a bigger power plant. Ill keep you up dated. Knowing me, it will be stupid powerful and go like a bat out of hell. So, until I have some picks, keep up the good work guys.

Can this be built without a torque convertor?

Yes. You could use a good quality centrifugal clutch instead, though you might wear it out more frequently. You could also make it one wheel drive and get rid of the live axle. Simpler and cheaper.

Slowly! Next thing on the list is dropping the transfer case. We have a HUGE leak coming from the seal between the transmission and t-case. I'm trying to be cautious and not spend too much money right now (darn coronavirus!) So that has slowed things down a bit.
