These products (obi/poly/hp) if you can get them, are not for the faint of heart. Unlike ata's from grandstream, these have some level of pbx capability built-in in terms of call routing (in and outbound). The admin guide is rather cryptic with a learning curve. However, once configured, they work great for years. Haven't touch ours in over 5 years. Also, these are compatible with standard sip providers. You do not need to use google voice.

I just use a different E-Mail Adress instead of using a Old Phone that way in using another Adress for my Home Phone & one for my own use

Is a way to remove google accounts from obi and then start from scratch? I have the obi 202

Any follow up on what happened? (I did it 18 months ago with the same two-line OBI device and it worked without any hitches. I've heard others have had some glitches, but for me it was pain-free and fast.

It did work but I keep getting emails from Plantronics notifying that the device is not online and I have not been able to properly determine it is on my side or on Obi side (either the device or service).

Hypothetically I should, We at Home Have Magic Jack, and we have been successfully been able to use it for everything. ( Your Phone, just plugs in the Magic jack just as if you were plugging into a phone jack on your wall ( Plan old Telephone line ) I also do belive it works for Fax as well but my memory is not fresh enough to be certain

Yes... Everyday my phone rings from the Google Voice Obi202 box.
