I love your work. I took up painting about 8 years ago. Self taught with acrylics. I am transitioning to oils. I prefer painting on wood. I have a problem with depth and shading but gradually I get better. I am hoping that watching you I finally get it. Thank you for inspiring me. Much love💜💛💚💙

Your paintings are awesome!! Thank you for showing how to step back and look at my work as I paint. I am using acrylics, unlike oils but I am learning with each brush stroke and the use of medium for smoothness in creating clouds. The paper towel roll saves tearing off each one.. saves time and much easier. Thanks again for sharing. I absolutely love the seascape. You are an inspiration with an easy voice to listen to as I follow.

I usually don't finish watching art tutorials but yours is the exception. I was tied to the screen watching you paint. This pandemic has derailed my creativity but now that I finished watching you paint that beautiful forest I'm going to paint my own. Question are you an oil painter or an acrylic painter. I am an acrylic person.

I think he does both but mostly oils

Justin, I'm an artist who has hit a brick wall in my creativity. I just can't seem to paint when I'm fighting depression 😕. You, on the other hand, use your painting to get through depression! That's very encouraging to me. I greatly enjoy your tutorials and your style of painting! Hopefully I'll feel like painting again soon

There’s something therapeutic about taking the brush and going back and forth (side to side) that does something in your brain with a positive effect on emotions. Try just prepping a canvas with gesso for a start. It helps! I worked for a counseling office after I retired and learned about this. Hope you get started back painting soon!
