Tremonti has everything to be one of the top guitarists today. Great songs that never disappoint, he doesn't seem to be a cocky guy and take the time to explain precisely what he's playing because he cares about the fact a lot of guitarists listen to his work. Hat off

Mark ... You are the reason why I practice everyday (I'm almost 40 ) but for 25 years , I was casual few chords player) and wasted that time ,never trying to get solid guitar skills. You are My God. I'm never gonna waste another day without practice and get where I want and should be right now. Starting from fingering, picking, learning how to use my 4 fingers not only 1 or two. I'm lefty , I managed to get myself nice Floyd Steve Vais signature piece, because I couldn't go that far beyond 12 fret if it's comes to solos. Don't know shit about scales, but I'm learning every day now. Everything because of You . God bless You. Time will tell. THANK YOU FOR AMAZING AB / TREMONTI riffs and songs.

Great lesson! Love his rhythm tone, great recording here! Just one tiny mess up on the theory aspect: the solo is in phrygian dominant, which is true, but the difference between phrygian dominant and phrygian minor is not the major (or raised sixth, as he called it). The difference would be the major third, just thought I'd clear that up here :) great lesson nonetheless!

I think the sound of the Mesa Rectifier does not lend itself to Solo numbers very well. Even if you play well that tone makes everything sound fizzy and harsh. Why didn't they set up his regular solo rig sound for these tutorials? Same thing goes for the Alter Bridge Fortress Sound and the story DVD. Yes he did mess up some stuff in the tutorial but I would have too with that sound. That sound is unforgiving even degrading haha! :)
@DarkAnimeAngel20069 жыл бұрын
AlundMusic he also likes more tube screamer sound which I think makes clean sounds fizzy and harsh. Then again his Mark he can do whatever he wants. XP
@Jhenri879 жыл бұрын
AlundMusic odds are these are shot while he's on the road and has time to stop at fret 12 head quarters, I'm willing to bet the setup he uses for the dvds stays there or are stock they have on sale. Mostly seems like a convenience thing along with his normal rig would probably be too loud/strong for this purpose.

@guilhermenunes22117 жыл бұрын
Actually, Myles is a huge huge part of song writing in AB.
@sergiomiguelreis91886 жыл бұрын
Pimise He and Myles and pretty much 50/50 the mind of Alter Bridge, Brian and Scott (and Elvis of course) give the criticism and some ideas, but these two are on another level when it comes to songwriting, throwing back ideas at eachother. However, if I had to say the one who is more involved, I would say Myles, Mark himself has said that he has finally found, in Myles, a person in the world that stresses about his writing and recordings more than him, which is almost impossible. These dudes are absolutely two of the best musicians of this era.
@JessieJames03176 жыл бұрын
Myles has rubbed off on him a great deal. Listen to the Myles solo record and you’ll really hear just how much of an impact he’s had on Mark as a melodic songwriter.

When you have such Tuning, does he play the chords according to the that tuning or he plays the chords with the normal names ( standard tuning ) and enjoy the sound in alternate turning, Wanted to ask cause i want to know the chord names he's using,
@lars99437 жыл бұрын
kiba vlood Usually when teaching he (and other gitarists for that matter) just uses the chord names as it where in E/Drop D. But since he plays a half step lower the actual chord names would be different. For example; if he's saying 'play an open D5' that'd be a Db5 in this tuning.
