Pro tip: Find a fast food place that has a different breakfast and lunch menu. Around 10:30AM, they switch to the lunch menu and throw out the breakfast items within a half hour of the menu switch. Don't wait by the dumpster though. It's creepy.

As an ex employee we were allowed to take anything leftover home, majority were put in the freezer to be dropped off at various shelters around the area. Also had a few times when people were coming to the door as we were locking up and only needed a pizza, we were more than happy to hand a few off to make the waste count easier. I totally forgot but majority of the time the dumpster pizzas,wings,ICB’s are the ones that timed out in the warmers.

Sadly it's not even the managers fault or even higher up. It is our own doing. They used to give away the food for free until some greedy ass biatch sued them for food poisoning! One biatch ruined it for everyone in need. And that biatch didn't even need free food or the money. She was well off. Granted, it wasn't lil Ceasars. I believe it was dominoes that got sued. But other followed just to avoid the legal problems. Managers and even corporate would be lore than happy to give them away for a good cause.

There's a homeless service in Madison WI that on Wednesdays they go to the three locations in Madison and get the waist for Thursday lunch. Because I had been homeless myself I shared a reheating tip with the cooks so the pizza didn't come out like 3 day old dry ass pizza after. And from time to time I use to go to one location when I had free time myself cuz I knew 2 of the times they threw out the pizza during the day and would grab like 16 or 17 pies and bag them up in gallon sized ziplock bags and the go to the shelter and sell them at like 1$ a bag and each held 12 slices.

Worked at a Ceasars and yes, after the 30min shelf life, you stack them up and dump them at the end of the night. Box inventory is strict, which is why you can’t get free pizza at the end of the night (95% of the time). We were allowed to cook the prepped pizzas that were about to be thrown out and box them in our own box to take to friends though at the end of each shift.

I worked at Dunkin at every nite we had to do the same so wen I started closing by myself I would put all the throw away donuts in one bag, and let the homeless ppl know they were juss donuts no coffee grinds etc.. and eventually it got to the point where they wld help me throw away the trash juss for that bag of donuts so naturally I would brew them their own lil pot of coffee.
