First of all thanks for your msg and I am going to answer you in the same way as I will give to my sister...So medical coding is far more different than the software coding and they are not at all related...So with this I would suggest you to go for some additional certifications/upskilling in your core area only like AI/ML/Data analytics and that would be far more better for you than medical coding..

Yes you can go for medical coding...but please be informed that considering your age you may not get the same kind of opportunities which any fresher in this field gets usually...anyways for commited and serious people opportunities are everywhere...All the best from CareerInpharma
