With the look your going towards, I think a shaved tailgate would really set it off. It would tie in nicely, with the roll pan. I have a shaved tailgate on my 04 Sierra, and it’s my favorite part of the truck.

Hi from Ontario Canada. What tail lights do you have. What tires and rims are you using. Have a 2000 Chevy 1500 extended cab 4x4 6 inch lift. There was nothing left on the frame, completely sand blasted. All new suspension, brakes, lines gas tank. Now getting ready to do the body and I like the tires inside the body lines. Thank you.

A flat head screwdriver works to remove that weird bolt on those pop lock tailgate locks. I know it looks weird but that’s what works on it.

Just a heads up for anyone watching this thinking they can pull the blocks and still tow. I did this I haul scrap did this looks amazing don’t get me wrong but my loads are usually about 1,500-2,500 sometimes 3000 pound worth of stuff. It doesn’t tow good. It squats it too much and ride quality is terrible. If you got a Sunday driver totally recommend it looked great but if u want to use a truck for anything work wise wouldn’t recommend it.

Another "free" mod you should do is between the grill and radiator there is a metal support bar that sticks out like a sore thumb depending on the angle. Paint black or color match for the truck.

Take it all the way and black out all the chrome (replace lol). Snowflake or Honeycomb gloss black wheels will fully transform this truck.
