I tried this foot and it worked really well for me. I did notice that you had your yarn coming from the back. I watched a demo from ken's sewing machine and they had the yarn coming from the front going around the vertical thread spool - this is the way I had my yarn coming thru.

Do you have a video and/or directions regarding the foot you made for yourself to do free motion couching?

Not sure what you're asking here.... it's not an official "here's how you use this foot" tutorial. Three years ago, I bought the foot, set it up as the package indicated and started to stitch and record what I did.

I haaaate this foot! Second one I’ve bought now - first for 6600 and now second for 6700... Both same problem - hole in foot way off centre, and stitching doesn’t catch tooo much of the time unless you go fast on the pedal but move really slow so you increase the chance of some stitches catching the yarn! Blugh. Horrible. Cant even go up to 1.5mm zigzag because needle hits plastic opening!!! Total rip off.
