The great thing about travelling in Australia is the unlimited free camp spots. This episode is from my two-day ride with my mate Graeme. Nothing beats camping in the bush and having jaffles on the fire, but camping in the park in town also has advantages when a pub with cold beer and hot meals is just round the corner.

Kinga, enjoyed watching this video and ride. What you prepared for dinner and you called it Jaffle. Here in the states we would call it Pudgy Pie. Same tool and we make sandwiches or desserts with the same tool. Have you heard of S'Mores? Use graham crackers with chocolate and marshmallows.

This is a mighty fine aircraft rescue video. Probably the most enjoyable I have seen. You guys are thorough in every respect. Yes, a few shortcuts were taken but you could not stay in California forever. I hope you do not really have over $100,000 in this 310. I haven't watched prices in some years but that seems upside down a bit for an old 310 with a run out engine. I was surprised that you trusted the retractable landing gear. Had it been tested before using it in flight? In any event my hat is off to you, your friends and your son for a job well done. I hope you have many years of flying adventures. My flying days are behind me and I regret not getting my commercial and multi engine ratings. At 68 years old all I can do is watch unless I buy another J3 Cub.

My wife of 50 years will no longer get anywhere near a motorcycle so the only way we can do this together anymore is to have her follow me in our Volkswagen beetle convertible or buy an RV which is what she wants.

Your Jaffle is a toasted sandwich or "toastie" in the U.K. I like mine with ham and cheese, cheese and tomato or just cheese - with a healthy dollop of brown sauce! Yum!

I can identify well with Graeme, we are a similar age and I can see you to get along well because you both have the same coloured hair, plus you both favour BMW motorcycles. I love that old R80GS, she's a beauty. The Norden would be a much better bike if it were made in Austria. You are correct again, there are no crocodiles in NSW. Atleast you have a beautifull bike for your journey. I hope you will give us your honest opinion about this bike. If the 890 R would have the same shaped tank then i would have bought it immediatley. It makes me a bit depressed that KTM marketing (for sure) had the demand to make a strong difference with this Norden and the 890r. I wished that the suspension would have stayed the same. It is a lot of money for sure. More then enough to have the same quality of shocks. But the whole world is a take it or leave it concept nowadays. I have drivin it. Fortunately i was able to ride to my home. Packed 40 kg of luggage on it quicly. Maybe it was a bit more. But the result made me very sad. Luckely my wife is only 58 kg. It was my goal to order a 901 last week. But i am not sure anymore. On the 890r riding two up and a little luggage is not a problem at all. On the Norden 901 it definitly will be a problem. A dangerous problem even. Cause the bike will drewl. It is slightly going constantly a few cm's to the sides and back when loaded up. So yet again buying a bike and spending right away extra money for a shock is not a good thing. Riding solo without luggage it is ok. I am afraid that in the next year model there will be a lot of changes. And with this the V1.0 buyers to be honest have become beta-testers once again. As in almost all the previous KTM models. I love KTM. And i loved all the KTM machines that i had and currently are owning. But towards their customers KTM does not have fuzzy and warm feelings. I would not say soulless but it is getting close to that.
