Thank you for adding "advanced" blocks! It's nice to be challenged! Thanks for showing us your mistakes on the live videos! That's where I learned the most! Love FQS!

I appreciate how precise you are. The back of your blocks are the neatest I have seen. And you don’t skip steps, like you always set your seams, and you explain why. I learn so many little things from you, like getting your points perfect, and nesting your seams. Thanks so much for all the detail you include in your tutorials.

I noticed that you mentioned several times that you have a tendency to burn yourself on your ironing says little pieces I use my stiletto there as much as I use it on my sewing machine it saves some fingers LOL

I noticed that you put a square letter on your pieces to mark your fabrics and rows. Do you happen to sell those to the public? I think they would come in handy for my quilting.
@FatQuarterShopTX2 жыл бұрын
Hello Terry! Yes, we do sell them. Those are our alphabitties: bit.ly/3ec8Rem

The seam roller is the same tool that is sold at Home Depot which is used for wallpaper.

Use the “Purple Thing” when opening those seams for pressing and then you won’t burn your fingers.

What sewing machine are you using? The cut mechanism works great
@FatQuarterShopTX3 жыл бұрын
Hello Cathleen! Kimberly is using a Juki TL-2010Q sewing machine: amzn.to/2onygue
@cr28843 жыл бұрын
I would love to speak w someone who uses the machine. I’m looking for another machine. I want to find out if it is doing all I believe it is. Ie quality of stitches, cutting mechanism. I understand it only does straight stitch? Is it purchased online or through dealerships. What feet come w, and how accurate is 1/4 foot?

Great video! But… what determines when you press seems open and when you don’t? I struggle with this.
@FatQuarterShopTX2 жыл бұрын
Hello Lorrie! We decided to press open on this quilt to help reduce the amount of bulk in the seams. Some choose to press to one side so the seams don't show with a light background fabric.

Rather than pinning the paper could you use clips - or would the paper move too much with clips?
@FatQuarterShopTX3 жыл бұрын
Hello Lynda! You could use Wonder Clips for small sections of TOAR paper, however I wouldn't recommend it for very long lengths of paper.

I was so excited to see this in my feed because I LOVE vintage patterns and this series and this one is gorgeous ... and THEN after I started watching the video I find out you only talk about using the triangle paper. UGH 😭 I don't want to use triangle paper, and it feels like you push using it SO much lately. I'm getting frustrated. I really wish you would at least put out directions for the block with and WITHOUT the paper.
@tblack47193 жыл бұрын
The FQS pattern states the size HSTs to make and there are many, many tutorials on how to make HSTs without triangle paper - there are several different ways to make them. Good luck
@PeleLua13 жыл бұрын
@@tblack4719 Oh you are right, it states what the finished size should be ... but having a pattern that tells me size pieces to cut to start with, or even how many I'm going to need, etc. is rather helpful ... the patterns lately using paper rolls do not do that and just give size of the paper needed ... I'd like to have the information supplied for both paper and piecing without ... rather than me having to figure it out ... or go elsewhere to look 🤷♀️
