Yes. Lol. It's sad that they end up at the thrift store and goodwill. I have seen MANY and have wondered to myself, why would such a beautiful piece of work end up here? The hours of hard work. You should DEFINITELY first find out if they are quilt worthy. Just saw part one of this video. It somehow it ended up on my stream and I was very impressed and subscribed. Great job. Beautiful work. Praying as well that you can purchase a quilting table and have a large sewing room one day all to yourself. That has to make your back hurt getting up and down. Hurts me watching you. Lol. Also love your eye for color, design, and pattern choices.

I watched yesterday, but didn't see you put the iron on top of your hand, but sounds like something I do. I keep sticking myself with the pins and need to wipe all the little blood spots off. I have a cousin in Lake Havasu, I spent the week there back in 1998 for a family reunion. I like the idea( do not need a lawn mower there.) My cousin sewed a lot. Her grandmother was the one that got me interested in sewing.

I just found your channel, I watched your efficient cutting and set up for sewing, so wonderful. I attempted patchwork as a teenager, 45 years ago, all hand sewn. I never finished it! I have a singer treadle machine that sews like a dream, it's got multiple attachments that I have no idea how to use. I am not a sewer, I constantly sew things together back to front or inside out, even though I pinned it together. No, I'm not dyslexic. You make me want to get the treadle out and start sewing. I will also live vicariously and watch you sew. BTW, I taught my kids to iron at age 5, by 7 they could iron their school uniforms (compulsory in Australia). Everyone said 'What if they burn themselves!' I still burn myself today, it's how you learn, I didn't have the iron on too hot for them. You can fix plantar facilitis by freezing a can of beans, when frozen, put it on a hand towel and roll the sole of your foot backwards and forwards over the can. The cold helps with inflammation, the rolling stretches the muscles, stopping the formation of excess bone. It takes a couple of weeks, if you have a lot of pain.
@TiffanysQuiltingLife3 жыл бұрын
Awe well break out the machine and start having some ole fun 😊 I actually have done the can trick. I have many rollers and feet tools to help. But my first surgery doc said I had lots of scar tissue. I probably have it more again. He just said on my visit before this video that the tendon from my ankle to my big toe is too tight. So I'm hoping things will ease up with more of my feet tools that I use constantly.

Tiffany, your courage encourages me. You don't follow the path of others, you carve out your own. This has be empowering to me to be brave in my quilting, to think outside of the box and try something unscripted! I have purchased two panels and have done my own thing on them. That is the beauty of quilting - we can be individuals and no one can say it is wrong - because it is an expression of us! Thanks!🙂

Just found you by serendipity, and subscribed! Such an astoundingly ex ellent efficient organized method, I am SO trying it on my next adventure - I thought I was efficidnt before, I am humbled now, lol. I am a woman with no walls, but I pushpinned the top corners of a flannel-backed tablecoth in a barely available corner of my sewing space (I duck behind it to reach whatever, so I use one pin to hold each block as I go. I tend to do the final arrangements on it as well, hence the one pin. Fabric sticks to it pretty well, and I wash it between projects. And it looks likeyou have a hall wall, it might work, too. Pushpins are so handy! Thank you for the ideas and the cool pattern, I'm going to try it with Christmas fabric.
@TiffanysQuiltingLife3 жыл бұрын
Oh that's cool. Hey whatever works 😏. I have a portable design cardboard I rarely use anymore. Once my son (the last kiddo) moves out in 2 years I will have the quilt room as my create it room. And his room will become my fabric room/guest room. Then I will have wall space to build a nice design wall 😊 Till then the floor works. I could also clamp on flannel or batting to my photography stand if I really needed. But for now I don't mind the floor. I do my best to stay somewhat fit and limber to get up and down. Although someday I can't thanks to my MS. But I do what I can.

Have to tell you ladies, my hubby took 3panels of 3/4” blue foam house insulation, duct tape on the seams. 1 on one side & 1 on the opposite side. This works like a accordion fold. When I need it I bring it into my sewing room, when it’s not being used I fold it back down to a one panel size. I covered the foam with flannel, and I can still use my pins to help keep my blocks secure. Works great 👍
