And the way everyone seemed to blame everything on him as he was the cause of for their suffering .. and even the besties of the suffering friend.. trying to ruin him mentally and taking revenge on him ... don’t get me wrong I love sousuke and still need to warm up to Hiyori yet but the point is that still no one thought about Haru .. like the boy himself was suffering as well ?! It’s not like everything that happened didn’t bother him at all ... he had his own issues ... and breakdowns geez.. I just hope for no drama in the next season but .. I guess that won’t be the case .. I want my boy to win the race that was shown in the last episode of ss3 and moving forward into the national team !

freeって、キャラが多いのに最初何が何だか分からずに始まって 話を見る事にキャラ全員の経験した気持ちとかすれ違いとか分かってくるよね。 ただでさえ感動モノなのに全話見た後にまた1話から見ると最初から号泣ものだよね。だから面白い。 グロい所も無いし女少ないしエロ系全く無いから大好き。絵ももろ好みだから早く2020年になって欲しい。 freeみたいなアニメ無いかなぁ。めっちゃ推したアニメが終わったらとっても辛くなる。

I think he felt betrayed/wrong that Haru beat him in a race once and so he went to Australia to get better but never felt like he could keep up with the swimmers there so he came back to Japan and it wasn't until he saw Haru and his group swimming again that he wanted to continue swimming and getting better than them He just misses having friends to swim with

From what I've gotten when I watched it, he was wanting to become a Olympic Swimmer and decided to join a relay in elementary school like his father for good luck. Then, he moved to Australia and was unable to improve and soon wanted to quit. This is probably when he started to stop contacting them. Then, when he saw them race, he got jealous... Why? Because he wanted to swim like that again with his friends, even though he pushed them away, he still liked swimming but couldn't find the good in swimming, until he saw the relay race and got reminded of their elementary school race.

Butterfly is a really difficult style. I have been swimming for over 15 years and it is still difficult for me, even when I was in very good shape. My favorite style is free (Haru’s), and breaststroke is ideal when you want to relax (on training, not on competitions). I don't like swimming on my back, forgive me Makoto😭 In my language the style “free” have another name - кроль (The front crawl or forward crawl - Wiki information). I don’t know why in anime they call it “Free style”. Maybe because it’s like Haru’s freedom and a freedom for his friends to be who they want and where they want. Whatever. I like this anime and sometimes I watched it before the competition to inspire myself to win and stop worrying✨

+LamborGENIE That must be tough, and I mean that genuinely. I liked Free when I first watched it, but now I agree that it layers on "the gay" way too thick. I know I've been in that situation where I like a show for the show, but 90% of the fans are rabid on the point of who should sleep with whom, which can get pretty frustrating. And thanks for the reality check on the swimming. It's true that Free does not include all that much sport for a sports anime. If that's more up your alley, then I'd recommend Ace of Diamond, Haikyuu, or Oofuri.
