Hey to the patron question for Rec 709. The reason you have to convert to Rec 709 is because that is the display profile for most if not all screen displays. The log format will give you the range you want to control the image before going into the display profile. Rec 709 is a more narrow color space.

Thanks man. Super helpful response on the conversion luts. Actually seems like kind of a good exercise for practicing color skills. Gotta finally get myself a proper color chart. Have a budget one, but I haven't found it to be reliable.

Thanks for the interesting information about the photo umbrella. ...Oh, I didn't know you had Vivitar lenses! I wonder which ones exactly. I have Vivitar 28 2.0 Komine, I use it through an inexpensive speed booster. This is both an interesting and capricious lens. But this is a macro wide-angle, so it is convenient for everything: landscapes, objects, and talking heads. I use it on Panasonic gh3.

Dude yes get the a6000 and try it! I am super curious about it. I recently got the Sirui s35 35mm f/1.8 but the L mount version for my OG S5, and i remember seeing at launch of the lens that it initially shipped for m43 camera and the bayonet was swappable to E mount. So I am thinking maybe I can buy the E mount bayonet and do a good old switch-a-roo and try the lens on the a6000. Hopefully/ maybe it'll be a lens where i can use on both system?
