Nigel, thank you for your podcast and interesting answers to questions. In fact, the softness of the Lumix 25 1.7 wide open may be its strength. Especially when it comes to women's skin. I used filters on sharper lenses for this. But you can act simpler and take a lens with a “softer” pattern. This is a great idea! Also thank you for telling me about the monitor. Yes, it is important to maintain reasonable sufficiency here. After all, a monitor that is too bright consumes too much electricity, and then the small battery will have to be replaced by a heavy, large and expensive one.

Thx Nigel, Love your Work Channel and Podcast...I am as well divided between MFT and L mount in a multicam setup...one argument for me for MFT is the small size of the télélens...unfortunatly I don't think that Lumix iz planning to refresh thé MFT Lens collection any Time soon ( I knows that they did a New version of the 100-400 Leica )

Thanks for answering my question about matching a GH5 to Sony cameras! For me, the FX30 just fell apart at anything higher than its base ISO and the dynamic range wasn’t as great at the A7siii, so my skies were always blown out. Also I think I just long for simpler times when I used a GH4 with every setting on auto and didn’t grade anything

I edit on an m1 air with 8gb ram and it struggles mightily. I edit 4k and 1080p. Once you start stacking in the timeline the ol’ rainbow wheel starts spinning for long periods of time. Just ordered a m4 pro mbp with 48gb ram and am hoping i’ll be good for the next 5 years.

My m1 eats up 4k footage. Same build as yours. I edit in FCP

Hopefully you use proxies. We edit trailers and tv shows and we still use proxies to help our computers chug through the footage

@@BMXPete My timelines are stacked with effects, transitions ect, and i always usually edit with chrome open which is memory hungry. Render times for me are brutal, i even turned off rendering fcp, i have found that the time and waiting i do while the computer is rendering kills my creative flow.
