Last collection I picked up like this had the same similar junk and then randomly there were a bunch of Phish records and Israeli pressings of Bob Dylan.

Gary - I have set aside the Olivia records, which, I have to say, are in fairly good shape, suggesting that whoever owned them never played them! My brother had an 8-track copy of Totally Hot, so I have heard that album several hundred times. But, in your honour, I will play them to see what I think, because I don't know too much about the others apart from the track Physical. She seemed so pure until she released that song. Luck you! Not sure if I was more surprised to see some Rush albums (Girlschool, too!) or several albums from Roberto Leal! He was a popular Portuguese singer both in Portugal and Brasil. I worked for him in the nineties when I lived in Portugal, he was my first marriage best man before I had a rock band with his older son. Fast forward to 2020s I am now working for his family business :) Ps: As you mentioned in the video, besides Roberto Leal, you showed many albums from Portuguese (a few Brazilian) artists, so the older owner must have had an Açores (Portuguese island) connection. Fun video, but it's very tiring to manage and sort out big donations like this. Cheers!

Carmen McRae - gold. Many are in bad shape, which is sad. I love a lot of these types just for discovery purposes. Dang - I’ve never seen the 6 Million Dollar Man one. Joe and Eddy looks really good. “He touched me” - that always cracks me up. My hubby likes Roberto Carlos. Some of the foreign ones if in good shape could be sellable. Well, this made a good video at least. I love Dean-o!!! At the halfway mark you started showing some that were in way better shape. I can’t imagine you having these beat up re it’s in your pristine collection. I love a couple songs on the John Travolta record because I heard them as a kid. I love Peter and Gordon (if it’s the same one - hugely influential). One went on to help create the LA sound of Linda R and Eagles, I guess. These records are so fun. I have that Lynda Carter. I took offense to your Anne Murray is awful comment so I’m glad you retracted!!! I have that Camillo Sesto. Maybe Roberto Leal is fun but maybe not your style? Lol - Rocio Durcal - I know many of these through my hubby and the singers are great. Rossington Collins - try Pine Box - love that song (I’m partial to accapella though). I’d put that Nancy Ames on the turntable in a heartbeat just to try it out. All in all a lot of trash because they are so beat up but I saw quite a few gems.

Gene McDaniels later changed his name to Eugene McDaniels and released two solid albums. One was Headless Heroes of the Apocalypse which was an early VC staple. The other is 'Outlaw' which I luckily grabbed early on. Kind of psych, free jazz, etc... I was given a few collections over the years Brian. Unfortunately. The condition of some of the better ones were not good. But three years ago I was given a collection that was left in the basement of a house that my sister-in-law's sister bought. She did not even look through it. Turns out. The owner worked for Jem Records. I scored immensely. Original Danzig, Raven, Priest, Maiden and other metal albums. Also some alternative stuff like Dead Milkmen, Smiths, REM, etc... Nothing ground moving for the Smiths. I thought that you would be curious on the Smiths stuff. {smile} Since we share that common Smiths/Moz bond. That was fun to see Brian~ Rob/Boston

This reminds me of the boxes of records I would find at auctions with the best ones often being unplayable although I have purchased a few of those boxes. I have a lot of those Elvis records and The Sun Sessions is probably his best record although with 5 records in the sleeve, I don't hold out much hope. Johnny Horton was a country singer with a rockabilly edge and I'm sure you would recognize some of his songs if you heard them. He died fairly young in an automobile accident. Now I have no idea who Roberto Leal is, but he seemed to be a favorite. Good luck in finding some salvageable records.

Phil Keaggy was in a pscych band from the 70s called Glass Harp. A lot of his later stuff leans Christian but he's a very well respected guitarist. You might check out those Portuguese records just in case there are any Fado artists in there. Johnny Horton had a hit with "Battle Of New Orleans." His career was cut short when his car drove into an oncoming truck on a bridge.

"The famous final scene" on "Stranger in town" are really beautiful. Level 42 and Chicago are always hits. Al Stewarts "TIme passages" is a amazing Alan Parson-produced album. The Anne Murray-album is a good one, and of course "Tapestry". For information, Demis Roussos is a greek singer with a very annoying high pitched squeaky voice.
