Petty comment alert, but WD-40 is about 50% mineral spirits, isn't technically considered a lubricant, and doesn't last all that long. You might try a silicone based lubricant but only on the ball/hitch connection, not the weight distribution part. Love the channel!!

Those bars are really supposed to make that noise. They use friction to counter sway in your trailer going down the road.

Love your videos. I finally subscribed because I see you are doing more and more RV videos which is the content I am loving. Keep it up and continue with the safe travels. Just passing along a helpful tip: WD-40 is a penetrant oil used to break rusty connections free. Once you have broken them free and cleaned them up you should really use a silicon lubricant. The makers of WD-40 make on of them too. The silicon lubricant will coat the parts and help them move freely for much longer. My many years as a service tech for a fitness company years ago taught me the difference. I used to always just put regular WD-40 on everything. The silicon is a million times better. Hope that tip helps.

So good to see young people enjoying the world of RV. I don't want to sound like a know it all but the noise from your hitch is perfectly normal. In fact, you don't want to hit the friction area with lube at all. The friction is how the hitch controls sway. Let that things squeak and creek around turns with your head held high :) Enjoy your travels! Wish I could go full time but we have to wait a little!

Hi. You can put the filters at the end of your water hose not at the faucet. That way you dont get the hose taste or smell in your water. Happy glamping🙂

Please, correct me if I'm wrong. My wife and I just got a camper and we were told not to use grease or anything on the friction points on your weight distribution hitch. You can on the connection part on the hitch, but not on the friction points on the camper side. Again, correct me if I'm wrong. Was told by the service guy that helped me put it on.

The noise is annoying but normal on most WD hitches.

@@CrosbyGraceTravels You have the same hitch as us and yes, you only want to use a bearing grease on the top and bottom plates of the head. The sound is normal but you have more sound the more WD is in place when hitched up. It might be worth taking time to take measurements per the manual to verify your hitch was properly installed (if the dealer did it). Our dealer just slapped everything on our rig without matching it perfect to our rig and tow vehicle. Tow experience was much better once everything was properly adjusted. I have been enjoying your videos. Looking forward to your trip across the US.

Kind of a crappy question, but are dump stations easy to find? Just wondering how that works on the road

Not a dumb question! It depends where you are - some places have more/less than others - but I find it pretty easy to find them using the Campendium app to find dump stations, or even just a regular campsite. Many will let you come and dump for a small fee

Try aluminum foil around the hitch joints it should stop the noise.
