11:53 whenever I see this demonstrated, it looks almost more like a rotational stroke (with the wrist rotating), moreso than we usually think of german grip (where the moves back on the hinge). No one really mentions this though...there does seem to be a bit of rotation on my strong hand (which does this naturally), but my weak has trouble with the mechanics (it seems hard to keep a solid fulcrum, and the slides up in my hand so that my hand is closer to the tip -- not sure if it's a fulcrum issue or a problem with the wrist/back 3 fingers).

It's a bit of everything. You need to find the famous "sweet spot" where the fulcrum and the back fingers feel the most comfortable and the stick sits "still", just like your strong hand. I'd suggest you to get the book The Weaker Side to help with your weaker hand. One page per week in that book and very soon things will feel a lot better.

I loved your video bro I'm 63 and gonna try your approach ! I only played for maybe a couple of years in a stoned out garage band at 15 ,but had a lot of learning issues mainly math problems . And when I looked at music(Which was my love of life) and counting ,and of course more life happened and I gave up playing. Till now I'm trying to start from scratch ,back then I didn't even know what a paradiddle was ,let alone a free stock ! What I liked so much about your take on it , is its just comen sense and ya gave the sense of the free stroke !

Thanks Felipe,I had an operation on my wrist along time ago from squeezing and pinching at the fulcrum.Now having to go back and this is the way to develop what I need..Thanks keep it going.
