A quick note: In the downloaded version of the DCTL you'll also have a 'Working Space' dropdown which you should match to your current working space (DaVinci Wide Gamut, Arri LogC3, ACES, etc, depending on your color management setup) in order to get consistent results. When I recorded this video I hadn't made it color-space aware yet :) Enjoy the plugin guys!

Thanks for the shoutout! Love working with this tool on the color page as it doesn't something that is super easy to do on the fusion page!

Hello. Thank you for your amazing yet very intuitive program. I especially think it works really well for footage shot under regular artificial lighting without a lighting director. However, one thing I find a bit disappointing is that when using this, everything gets compressed into a similar tone of split toning, which makes the footage a bit uniform, so additional work like applying different types of split toning or LUTs might be necessary. Actually, I’ve been looking for a way to specifically compress skin tones, and I hope you create such a paid program in the future. Thanks again for sharing this great video

Hello! thanks for being here! I completely agree with your assessment of the tool :) I think it looks fantastic in a lot of scenarios but at the same time is a quite strong gamut adjustment that can feel limiting in ways; for example the more of the effect that is applied, the less possible it is to have a bright, saturated yellow. It's a bit of a double-edged sword, and because of this (as is the case with all look development) it's very important to not push it too far so that it remains a positive change for *all* shots it is affecting. It's a balancing act for sure, and the ideal strength of the effect to choose will vary a lot depending on the project and its needs. On the topic of a compressor tool: I've been playing around with an in-development version of a tool like this recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if I release it at some point in the near future!
