For the process, it needs to be xcp backup source target and then xcp syhc backuo target?

If you have a CIFS copy that fails because the destination ran out of space, do you use another "xcp copy" command to resume, or do you have to switch to "xcp sync" to get it to pick up where it let off? When I use back to back "xcp copy" in this instance, it seems like it restarts from the beginning. Using xcp 1.9.3.

I am not a customer anymore, but I need to migrate date out of NetApp, can I get a license for XCP ? I tried with the corporate e-mail didn't work, says I am not authorized. Can I get it with a personal e-mail ?

You say you don't have to be a netapp customer but you can't use it without a License file and you can't get a license file without being a customer. Is there a way around that?

I'll double-check on this for you, but I'm pretty sure you don't have to be a customer or have an existing support entitlement. Create an account here and just fill in the information and it will be emailed to you. xcp.netapp.com/license/xcp.xwic

You didn't show how to install clearly. The tool seems great but there is nothing out there for installing it correctly.

You download a zip file, unzip it into a local directory. That's it, that's the install.

@@datacntrdude not really.... if you're doing smb migration and want the File Analytics you need to spin up a linux VM as well.
