Thanks she is fine. They were crossing an intersection and the guy took off so fast, his air bag went off... We will see how Geico handles fixing it. I enjoyed the new to me tractor too. Hey chud, I just found your channel and think it's entertaining to watch you put mud tires on deckless mowers and drive them through mud! I also admire your mechanical skills. I work with my hands everyday at commercial & residential repairs and after a working accident where I cut into my finger badly with my wedding ring, I decided to go with a silicone wedding ring. You work with your hands so much you may want to do the same if your wife will go for it.

I wonder if there's a way to put like a rubber roller with tread beneath the drive axle, and have a gear attached to it that is driven by the inside of a drive tire. The rear end would never get high centered, because the roller would get traction and prevent getting stuck? Great video, dead trash mowers brought back to life!!

Surging can be caused by the idle circuit not working . clean the carb again use carb spray , touch tip cleaners .

You should make a optional diff lock where you need to push a pedal down to lock it because some times a locked rear end can be bad

It’s amazing I get given those MTD built mowers like that with the CVT transmissions on a monthly basis, MTD charges so much for their parts people buy new mowers instead of fixing them. They make great mud mowers though 😊 btw those Nikki carburetors are junk even with a carb kit it will most likely surge, put a LMT Walbro and it will be good to go.

chud327 I get a lot of scrap mowers so I pull them off of locked or Smokey engines, I have heard you can get aftermarket Walbro designed carbs that are decent eBay amazon. you can also order used Walbro LMT carbs on eBay occasionally. Really love the channel keep up the hard work!

when the engine surges like that thair are some times a plastic jet on the top of the carb some times under the idle screw. clean that out and it should fix it. or it could be something ells or you need a different carb like an LMT Walbro good luck.

Man chud I don’t know how you find all these free tractors. I had to fight for weeks to find a good used tractor where I’m from (Sacramento ca FYI). Every time I seen one up for sale it was sold by the time I called literally in a half hour it is spring time and everybody wants one but man there are no deals here. This free Troy you just got you could sell for $800 if you put air in the tires and gas in the tank.

I have a question I have this task force 2 riding mower I am trying to get it running because I have an lt1050 cub cadet I think from 2005 and I made it a mud mower and now my brother wants a mud mower and this task force has been sitting for about three years because my mom got a zero turn and I got the task force started but gas is coming out the exhaust I cleaned the air filter and both valves seem to be working fine and I don’t know what to do I thought that you might know

Hey chud327 I picked up a free poulan mower with a briggs engine it starts up easy but it runs wide open and doesn't idle down and the throttle cable looks to be hooked up correctly do you know what my problem might be

So I have twin cam kholer courage and I put a bigger stock breather on it made it into a snorkal the valve breather runs into it and now I'm thinking of running a tube from it to my gas cap and it should give it more hps it already claps way harder than it's did with the other smaller snorkal I had on there so I may have made that 19 into a 23 hp

It looked like the wife's car needed a new steering arm and a rubber mallet to the fenders, and I like old Troy better and I think he needs a flop,new carb,lights and better front tires, and I think the boy needs more horses, and the other boy needs a battery and battery box
