Good video, doing the times i use this app, i had actually connected multiple devices through the wifi direct, the other devices was connected through the proxy and port listed in the blue Square section of the wifi direct, it worked every time

How safe is this downloading things from the internet? Any malware attached to the downloading files?

I personally haven't had any issues with malware when downloading the files for this app any of the times I've installed the PC portion on my PC's. Haven't detected malware on android when downloading or PC when installing.
