I am taking USMLE Step 3 in 2 months and there's a fair bit from Step 1 as well! This is such a good question, cuz it incorporates both Step 1 and CK knowledge! Please keep them coming. Been a fan since med school (2016)

Can somebody answer this: I was remembering avascular necrosis of the adult femoral head and the medial circumflex artery. But i remember learning in LCP disease in peds its a different artery? A early central vessel that normally becomes ligament but what vessel is it?

How do you differentiate between osgood-schlatter disease and chondromalacia?
@DrDeusExMachina3 жыл бұрын
chondromalacia isn't going to fracture the tibial tuberosity. Chondromalacia is typically abrasion underneath the patella.

He's 6 years old, and you said X-ray is normal for first 6 months, is that a mistake?
@jesuslbl4 жыл бұрын
One is the age of presentation (this disease is mor common in ages 4-10), the other is the time in which the x ray will be normal, in other words, a patient can have LCP for 5-6 months and you will probably see a normal X-ray
