Cześć. Dzięki za film. Czy wiesz może gdzie potem w samochodzie jest zapisywany "status" lub "kod" radia (nie wiem jak to nazwać) że po odpięciu akumulatora nie trzeba wpisywać do radia Safe Code po raz kolejny?

Nigdy nie miałem w ręce tego programatora ale z tego co widzę w internecie to ma on możliwość pracy w trybie konwertera USB to UART, więc powinien działać.

It means the software didn't get an answer from MCU, make sure your connection is exactly the same as in help, and did you select correct COM port

@@mbi-bbpl Thanks for the answer. My RCD210 is Technisat ULVWCD 5M0035156 with a blue background display instead of black and the MCU is M306N4FGTGP. So it is a slightly different version. However, I identified the pins in the back of the board as in your video. For the Serial communication in my case RXD1 and TXD1 are routed (I am not sure which one did you use, because there are 3 UART ports 0, 1, 2). The COM port is correct because I used my FTDI for other projects to read/send data. And I see the LED blinking when I click ok, so some commands are send to MCU, but as you said no response back. I already have the code for my radio, but I wanted to try this hack to see if I get the correct code. But it didn't work for me. I read in the MCU datasheet that by putting CNVSS pin to VCC, MCU will enter microprocessor mode and I think this is what you used to read a page in the MCU flash (that contains the code). I also read here: people.redhat.com/dj/m32c/flash-guide.pdf that I need to send an Unlock code to access the MCU Flash. What code did you use? I know quite a lot of MCU programming. So, I could modify the source code to see if I can communicate with my MCU. I was thinking to code the commands in Arduino. But of course if you would share the source code it would save me a lot of time. Otherwise I would most probably drop this hack due to time limitations. Edit1: I also read the EEPROM 24c16. All bits are 0. I guess it doesn't store anything in that EEPROM. Anyway I think the code is stored in the MCU Flash not in EEPROM. Edit2: This is exactly my radio. In Technisat RCD210 code is in 24c16. If you read all 0, you did something wrong. I used people.redhat.com/dj/m32c/flash-guide.pdf writing my application. I wrote it in Pascal (Lazarus IDE). For M30879FKAGP in Panasonic RCD210 unlock code is all zeros. I don't share my source code. Regards

@@mbi-bbpl Are you sure the code is in 24c16 for Technisat? Because I am quite sure i read the memory correctly as I have also read the 24c08 eeprom from the front panel and that one has data in it. If i wouldn't have read it correctly then the data should have remained to 0xFF everywhere. I will give one more try later, just to eliminate the case that I placed the clip wrongly.

It is sad to hear that open source in this field is very scarce if not completely unavailable. Everyone wants money for some line of code... Actually you are the only one that gave the executable for free at least. So thanks for that. I believe knowledge should be free to have progress. And nobody will become rich from some from radio hacking. That is just my personal opinion maybe others think differently.

My software is for RCD210 Panasonic only, your radio is Technisat. Code is in 24C16 eeprom.

Yes. It works on Windows 10. Check if your COM port is properly visible in device manager.

I solved it, see the port. However, I got the SetBaud error. I have a "delock" usb to COM port adapter. Could that be the mistake? Thank You!

@@siadammm This error means the software didn't get an answer from MCU. I don't know what chip is your converter based on. I tested it with FT232 and CP2102 chips. Sometimes you have to try several times by pressing 'read code' button.
