I have been painting with acrylics for many years but have always wanted to give water color painting a try. My daughter just gave me a set of water color pens and I am ready to give this a shot (I also have some traditional water color paints. Your video is so much appreciated! Clear and concise instructions.

You're very welcome, Joyce! I've just been posting techniques for loose flower painting that you may like, also. The first (kzbin.info/www/bejne/faeUaWx9a6hjnJI) is the basics with an outline and the second is without an outline ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2PGeHZsgK6UjJY). You can use salt for great effect on most watercolor flowers. Good luck with your painting - I love watercolors, they're so much fun. Sometimes they do great things all by themselves.

So nice to see you posting again in 2021, Deb! You're one of the best in the business and know all the watercolor tips and tricks. Thank you for sharing all the free lessons on your website, because money is tight right now after getting laid off due to Covid. I especially like the Queen Ann's Lace Flower painting using masking fluid. Hope you are well and staying safe, Deb!

We just finished it in class - everyone is different but all ended up lovely. A few were unhappy with their greens but it turned out to be the yellow they were using. Switching to a more transparent yellow seemed to be the trick.
