If nothing else is working, try this...strangely it worked (from a forum) "On the morning going to the appointment, the light went off. I got to the service dealer, he hooked up a scanner, it read that my gas cap was defective. He asked if I fill my car up with gas and go and click more than 2 to 3 times after the gas is full. He said that I'm putting to much gas in. Over flow of gas goes into the charcoal filter. Don't over fill the gas tank. So far so good. Hope this helps you out."
@Dashboardwarninglights
@Dashboardwarninglights 26 күн бұрын
@adsmith122 It’s interesting that overfilling the gas tank led to the Forward Collision Warning light appearing. Typically, this light is tied to the vehicle's forward safety system, not the fuel system. However, a malfunctioning gas cap or overfilling could potentially impact various sensors indirectly or create system errors if vapor pressure isn’t controlled correctly. By avoiding "topping off" the tank and securely fastening the gas cap with minimal clicks, you may reduce the chance of unrelated warnings appearing on the dashboard. Thanks for sharing this-it could indeed be helpful for anyone experiencing unexplained warning lights on their dashboard! 🙏👍

I had a recent break job done and might need to change my break oil , your saying it’s possible replacing the oil might be a solution thought that was interesting .
@Dashboardwarninglights
@Dashboardwarninglights 3 ай бұрын
@@omarabdelrahman9775 The Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system is generally unrelated to brake fluid levels or the need for an oil change. However, several issues can trigger the FCW light, and maintenance work might inadvertently affect the system. Here are a few possibilities to consider: 👉 Sensor Obstruction or Misalignment: During a brake job, if the sensors related to the FCW system were accidentally bumped or obstructed, it might trigger the warning light. 👉 Brake System Issues: Although not directly related to FCW, any significant issue with the braking system could potentially affect the overall safety systems in your vehicle, causing warnings to appear. 👉 Electronic or Software Glitch: Sometimes, after maintenance work, there might be temporary glitches in the vehicle’s software, leading to warning lights appearing. 👉 Low Brake Fluid: While this typically triggers a different warning light, it’s always good to ensure your brake fluid is at the correct level and that there are no leaks. 👉 Calibration Needs: After certain types of maintenance, sensors may need recalibration to ensure they’re functioning correctly. If the warning light persists, it would be wise to consult your vehicle's manual for specific troubleshooting steps or take your car to a dealership or a trusted mechanic to diagnose the issue accurately. They can reset the system or determine if there’s a more serious underlying problem.

@Dashboardwarninglights 3 ай бұрын
@deepakskadaba ✅ have you tried the steps that are in the video !!! If your 2019 Nissan Rogue SV is showing a "Collision and Lane Assist sensor malfunction," and replacing the battery didn't resolve the issue, it's concerning that Nissan is suggesting a front camera replacement for $2,500. Here are some steps you can take before committing to such an expensive repair: 👉 1. Get a Second Opinion Before proceeding with the camera replacement, it might be wise to seek a second opinion from another Nissan dealership or a trusted independent mechanic. Sometimes different technicians may have alternative solutions or might find that the problem is not as severe as initially diagnosed. 👉 2. Check for Software Updates Sometimes, sensor malfunctions can be due to outdated software in the vehicle's computer system. Ensure that your vehicle's software is up-to-date. This can be done at a dealership or some specialized auto repair shops. 👉 3. Inspect the Camera and Sensors Ensure that the front camera and sensors are clean and not obstructed by dirt, ice, or debris. Sometimes a thorough cleaning can resolve the issue. Check for any physical damage to the camera or sensors that might be causing the malfunction. 👉 4. Reset the System Disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes and then reconnect it to see if the system resets itself. Sometimes this can clear minor glitches in the system. 👉 5. Scan for Diagnostic Codes Use an OBD-II scanner to pull any specific error codes related to the collision and lane assist systems. This can provide more detailed information about what might be causing the malfunction. Some auto parts stores offer free scanning services, or you can purchase a scanner yourself. 👉 6. Investigate Warranty or Recall Options Check if your vehicle is still under warranty or if there have been any recalls related to the collision and lane assist systems. If the issue is covered, the repair might be done at no cost to you. 👉 7. Consider Aftermarket Repair Options If the camera does need to be replaced, you might explore aftermarket parts or a refurbished camera, which could be more affordable than the $2,500 quoted by Nissan. Just ensure that any aftermarket part is compatible with your vehicle and installed by a professional. 👉 8. Understand the Cost If you do need to replace the camera, ask the dealership to explain why it’s necessary and what the costs include. Sometimes a breakdown of the costs (parts, labor, etc.) might help you negotiate or find a more cost-effective solution. While the malfunction could indeed require a camera replacement, it’s crucial to explore these options first to ensure that the issue is correctly diagnosed and that you’re not overpaying for the repair. ❤ I hope you can fix it quick and that there is nothing more serious. 👉 Happy to help!

Would this be activated if you LKA camera/sensor was stolen or removed?
@Dashboardwarninglights
@Dashboardwarninglights 7 ай бұрын
@rustyshackleford4876 The forward collision warning system typically relies on sensors located in the front of the vehicle, separate from the lane-keeping assist (LKA) camera/sensor. While removing the LKA camera/sensor might affect other safety features like lane departure warning, it shouldn't directly trigger the forward collision warning light. However, it's best to consult your vehicle's manual or a mechanic for specific information about your car's system.

@@maximtihonov2392 @maximtihonov2392 Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) in your 2016 Honda Pilot. Since the on/off button isn’t responding and a system error is being displayed, here's a step-by-step troubleshooting guide: 1. Check the CMBS System Fuse The CMBS system might be malfunctioning due to a blown fuse. Unfortunately, finding the specific fuse might be tricky since the user manual and Honda's website haven’t been helpful, but try checking these locations: 👉 Fuse Box in the Engine Compartment: Look for the main fuse box near the battery. 👉 Interior Fuse Box: Located under the dashboard on the driver's side. Look for the fuses related to safety systems or anything labeled as "CMBS," "Safety," or "Collision." 2. Perform a System Reset Since disconnecting the battery didn’t resolve the issue, you could attempt a system reset: 👉 Hold the CMBS Button: Some systems require you to press and hold the button for 10-30 seconds to reset it. 👉 Cycle the Ignition: Turn the car on and off a few times to see if the system will reset. 3. Check for Software Updates The system might require a software update. Contact a Honda dealership to check for any technical service bulletins (TSBs) related to your issue. Sometimes, malfunctioning CMBS can be linked to outdated software. 4. Inspect Sensors and Cameras Since CMBS relies on sensors (usually near the windshield and front grille), ensure they aren’t blocked or damaged. Clean them if necessary. 5. Diagnostic Scan You may need to use an OBD-II scanner to read any trouble codes related to the CMBS system. This can give more insight into the specific problem. If you continue to face issues after these steps, taking the vehicle to a certified Honda technician might be the best solution, especially if it's an internal module or wiring problem. 🙏 I hope you can fix it quickly and that it's nothing more serious. I changed the bumper on my prado 150; So now the parking sensors are not working Also the stability warning light and anti crash warning light is on
@Dashboardwarninglights
@Dashboardwarninglights 9 күн бұрын
@ayazshahid7253 It sounds like the parking sensors and stability systems were either disconnected or improperly reconnected during the bumper replacement. Here’s how to troubleshoot and address the issue: 1. Parking Sensors: 👉 Check Connections: Ensure that the wiring harness for the sensors is properly connected. During bumper replacement, these are often unplugged, and a loose or damaged connection could prevent them from working. 👉 Sensor Alignment: Ensure the sensors are properly aligned and not obstructed. They may have been misaligned or blocked during the bumper installation. 👉 Diagnostic Scan: Use an OBD-II scanner to check for fault codes related to the parking sensors, which can pinpoint the specific issue. 2. Stability Warning Light: 👉 Check Wheel Speed Sensors: These sensors are crucial for stability control. Ensure they weren’t disturbed during the bumper replacement. 👉 Calibration Needed: After replacing parts like the bumper, the stability control system might require recalibration. This usually requires specialized diagnostic tools. 👉 Inspect Wiring: Look for damaged wires, especially if the bumper replacement involved adjustments near the vehicle’s electronics. 3. Anti-Crash Warning Light: 👉 Front Radar/Sensor Alignment: The anti-crash system relies on radar or cameras typically mounted near the bumper. If these were removed or misaligned during the replacement, they could trigger a warning. 👉 Reset System: Some vehicles require a reset or recalibration of the anti-crash system after a bumper replacement. ✅ Steps to Fix: 👉 Visual Inspection: Start by inspecting all wiring and connections for the parking sensors and any front-facing radars or cameras. 👉 Run Diagnostics: Use a diagnostic scanner to identify error codes and perform necessary resets. 👉 Calibration: Take the vehicle to a service center for recalibration of the stability and anti-crash systems. ✅ Step 1: Inspect the Parking Sensors 👉 Check Sensor Connections: Remove the bumper cover (if needed) and inspect the wiring harness for each sensor. Ensure connectors are clean, secure, and free of corrosion. 👉 Clean the Sensors: Dirt or paint overspray from the bumper installation can block the sensors. Clean them with a soft cloth. 👉 Test Each Sensor: With the ignition on (engine off), engage reverse gear. Walk around the bumper, passing your hand in front of each sensor to check for response. If no response, the sensor or wiring may be faulty. ✅ Step 2: Address Stability Warning Light 👉 Inspect Wheel Speed Sensors: These are located near the brake rotors. Ensure no wires or connectors are loose or damaged. Check for debris or grease blocking the sensors. 👉 Recalibrate Stability System: After repairs, recalibration may be needed. Disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes to reset minor faults (be sure to have your radio codes and settings saved first). Alternatively, use the OBD-II scanner to clear stability-related fault codes. ✅ Step 3: Fix the Anti-Crash Warning Light 👉 Inspect the Front Radar or Camera: Check that the radar or camera (often mounted behind the Toyota emblem or near the bumper) is securely attached and aligned. Ensure the lens or radar cover is clean and undamaged. 👉 Recalibrate the System: If the system still displays warnings, you’ll likely need recalibration with a diagnostic tool or at a dealership. ✅ Step 4: Use an OBD-II Scanner 👉 Plug It In: Connect the scanner to your vehicle’s diagnostic port (usually under the dashboard). 👉 Read Codes: Look for specific fault codes related to sensors, stability control, or the anti-crash system. 👉 Clear Codes: After making corrections, clear the fault codes and check if warnings return. ✅ Step 5: Test Drive After completing all checks and clearing codes, take the vehicle for a short drive to ensure the stability and anti-crash systems are functioning correctly.

My brother wanted to reset the code for me by disconnecting the battery. And hook it back up. I would not let him. That would ruin any warranty I have! Even though I trying fight mine. But I think it’s dangerous in rain etc! Who knows! Dealership acted like it would be!

Would disconnecting the fuse and just driving the car cause the fcw malfuntion light to go away? Or will it always be on if i unplug the fuse ? @@Dashboardwarninglights

@@killertofu Disconnecting the fuse will not make the FCW malfunction light go away. In fact, it will likely cause the light to stay on or trigger additional warnings. The vehicle's onboard computer will detect the loss of power to the FCW system and register it as a fault, keeping the warning light illuminated. To resolve the issue properly, you should change the fuse if it is faulty.

The blinker fluid is low
@Dashboardwarninglights
@Dashboardwarninglights Ай бұрын
@connerthomas3840 don't worry about the "blinker fluid"-that’s a bit of a joke! Cars don’t actually have blinker fluid; it's a humorous term sometimes used in automotive circles. If you’re experiencing warning lights, here are some real things to check: Forward Collision Warning System: This light can come on if there's an issue with the sensors, possibly caused by dirt or obstructions on the front of the car. Give the sensors a gentle clean and see if the light resets.

Where are the forward sensors?
@Dashboardwarninglights
@Dashboardwarninglights 5 ай бұрын
@jonitaite6800 Forward sensors are typically located at the front of a vehicle or machine and include various technologies such as radar, lidar, ultrasonic, and cameras. They are usually positioned in strategic locations like: Front Bumper: Common placement for radar and ultrasonic sensors for detecting obstacles and assisting in parking. Grille: Often houses radar sensors to aid in adaptive cruise control and collision avoidance. Windshield: Camera sensors for lane-keeping assistance, traffic sign recognition, and forward collision warning. Side Mirrors: Can contain cameras or sensors to cover blind spots and provide additional forward-looking coverage. Front Fenders: Sometimes used for side-facing sensors that still have a forward-looking component for detecting cross-traffic. These placements ensure that the sensors can effectively monitor the area in front of the vehicle or equipment to enhance safety and operational efficiency.
