The last jam starting at 35:26 could have been a great album track to mix in. More of a Pajo/Slint vibe. It seems like the band had a ton of creative ideas, but the record just became a Corgan showcase, Pumpkins-lite, in the end.

Billy always tends to leave behind a lot of good tracks... This is almost self-sabotage! :)

This is BY FAR Billy Corgans best song writing!! The songs are beautiful, created at a low point when you can tell he is grappling with everything. He should have just released these acoustic tracks because they are stunning! Horrible to think these tracks are sat on some Hollywood studio hard drive never to be released.

Maybe with any luck we will get a Zwan reunion? Studio tracks for Glorious? Permanence? The Shining Path even? They made some damn good music shame its all been shelved. Does billy even play any of the Zwan music these days? in 24?

Thanks for uploading! I had to buy this twice, my first copy was stolen. Anyway, this reminds me of happier times. My parents owned a houseboat and we would drive across this huge expanse of lake to get to this one cove, our favorite spot, and the whole way I'd make my dad play Zwan's Mary Star of The Sea really loud. Just sayin'...

I was about 14 or 15 when this DVD came out and remember watching it with a few friends in my parent's basement. So many of these songs are complete gems. I'm getting emotional watching this again.

I was a bit older, around 22, I think. I haven't seen the DVD until today. I bought a used CD/DVD that arrived still wrapped in plastic. It's kinda sad that this band didn't last longer. I think the music could have been something much greater, though it was still great, but really very under-appreciated at the time.

yes, jesus! Another fine treasure of Billy's that is too great, but not long enough. for me at least, it almost sounds like it could have been an SP jam, a B-side on the 1979 single.

I wish I could find the audio cd of all these songs as well. These are album quality for sure, Mary Star of the sea should have been a Double. LP That seems to be Billy's specialty, he writes a ton of songs, and a lot of them are quality. At least were, I'm still a fan of his songwriting now, but it has taken a turn (especially in reference to Shiny and oh So Bright V.1)

I somehow never really listened to Zwan, despite being a huge pumpkins fan growing up in the 90’s etc. The songs somehow never grabbed me and then they broke up in like a year, so everybody forgot and moved on pretty quickly. The first live song in this video is ok though - definitely sounds very pumpkins and has Corgans songwriting all over it, though it’s definitely more bright and upbeat than usual. I may have to investigate further.

Same. I get a lot of heat for it, but this is kind of the only WPC thing I like. When I first heard that he was starting a band with Pajo and Sweeney, being a big fan of Slint and Chavez I was super stoked. I still love the album but it's such a bummer that he had a band with those two guys, who are monster players, only to bury them in the mix. You seriously can't hear anything they are doing...if you watch any live stuff it's so much more prominent and cool.
