The Volca Drum is an absolutely incredible drum synth with a plethora of features, but it can be tricky to figure out how to get started. In addition to walking you through your first beat, this video also showcases how to get started using the wave guide and randomize features to spice up your session! Enjoy the video :)

I just got a Volca drum and decided to watch some of your videos and I most say that this honestly is the golden standard of KZbin tutorials. Korg should pay you for this.

Wow haha thank you so much! I mean it though, I really don't mind the dislikes. The channel has grown to the point where I have a few haters now that just dislike every video, but if a video is getting an abnormal amount of dislikes, it's great feedback on what I can do better! Thanks for watching :)

I imagine that if a beginner just bought a volca and sees this video, it will be of tremendous help. I am just watching it enjoying the patient and friendly way you do the explaining. You’d be a very good teacher! I like how the Volca sounds so I imagine that if I had one I would build kits in the Deluge and sample everything.

Thanks! I'm definitely looking forward to sampling (or at least sequencing) the Volca Drum with the Deluge, seems like a pretty powerful combo.

Great vid as usual, if I had been able to see this back in 2019 the Edit Step explanation alone would have saved me a lot of time and frustration. I was hoping you'd demo the Motion feature, when you combine that with the Wave Rez, Pitch or Modulation it also goes pretty crazy. This synth is a lot of fun, when you let it do its thing you forget what beat your were trying to make in the first place!

I haven't used it, but the Organelle is more of a synth, whereas OP-1 and OP-Z are both grooveboxes/workstations for making full songs. The Organelle might be similar in design and shape, but they couldn't be more different pieces of gear. Thanks for watching!
