Great video, good tips, thanks! I'm also enjoying MPC3, the only things I'm missing are a way to completely clear a sequence (you can "clear", but the sequence doesn't go back to (unused)), and switching to submixes/master from the mix screen. Edit: I just found a workaround for the first one: copy an unused sequence over the one you want deleted :D

Great video, my dude! I just bought a new MPC Live II and updated to v3.0 straight out of the box. I have no experience with v2.15, so my learning curve will be the beta version. I have experience with older MPC's, but this is my first of the new generation. I was told to wait until NAMM in January in case a newer model is launched, but what more could they possibly add? Then again, they are in business to sell units, so anything could come next!

I love this update, but worried about the removal of time signature selection. I know it’s a beta, but Akai hasn’t yet confirmed that anything other than 4/4 will be an option. For me, this feature will mean the difference between buying all the plugins and going all in on the MPC, or selling it (again!). Fingers crossed.
@FreeBeat2 ай бұрын
I was informed by someone in the private beta that Akai is aware of folks wanting odd time signatures, and are actively working to add it. I agree though, gotta have it!
@pianoyan2 ай бұрын
@@FreeBeat that’s great news. This is my third attempt at owning an MPC, and I love this new workflow. I want to learn it inside out, but I need time signatures, plus the option to put a single 3/4 measure in the middle of a 4/4 song if I want. I could do it on 2.11, but now I’ve tried MPC3, I’m not going back. Really useful video, btw, and I hope you’re planning more MPC content.

I got a question , since they brung back track mutes and you can create different sequences with variations to create a song in song in song mode. how do you get what you created insong mode to reflect in arranger mode? In other words ive created a full in song mode how do you get that to show in the arranger.
