Michael Hayes is great on the mic. That was a wonderfuldebut

He was off in the beginning, but he quickly recovered and became almost the Michael "P.S." Hayes we all now remember and love. The style and swagger aren't really there at the beginning, but he takes it up a lot of notches the more the promo progresses. And the silence of Gordy and Roberts cements his presence as the mouthpiece and leader of the group. If it weren't for his promo skills, nobody'd remember the Freebirds today. He was kind of a Southern-fried version of Ric Flair.

Not many great teams like the freebirds, to actually have a rule named after them in every wrestling federation. And Michael Hayes was awesome on the mic.

Don't remind us of "Doc Hendrix". There was NOTHING of "P.S." Hayes in that weak, sorry, pathetic gimmick. I'll bet Hayes loathed it more then all of US do. He must have seen it as a personal insult.
@toddkurzbard2 ай бұрын
Michael "P.S." Hayes Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy Buddy "Jack" Roberts The only TRUE Freebirds. This is their debut? Though, TBH, THIS Michael Hayes lacks a bit of the swagger he later would. And the beard. And there's not as much of the raspy voice - though, as the promo goes on, I hear the nearly complete classic Michael ("Purely Sexy") Hayes. But here, after a weak start, he gets into the groove of it pretty quickly. He's ALMOST there.

Michael P.S. Hayes good with the comments 240lbs of twisted steel and sex appeal the freebirds did enjoyed a Texas bar brawl with the VonErich's

If they were good enough to make you hate them, then they were great at their job.
@johnliberty36473 ай бұрын
@chrisoakley5830 Then they sucked at their job because I loved them at first site. Michael was a complete dork but for some reason it worked out just right. Terry was a mountain but small enough to wrestle with anyone. Buddy just looked the part without standing out at all. My favorite tag team of all time.
